#2. What do you think, who was the best President of the last 50 years? 9 Presidents remaining.

You have 5 votes.

Why are we doing this again?

Kind of a duplicate thread... We've done this COUNTLESS times in the past.

I'd have to go with LBJ and George H.W. Bush.

LBJ was the most effective President in the modern era besides FDR.

George H.W. Bush deserved a second term. He has partial responsibility for improving the budget situation left to him by Reagan . He raised taxes when his base didn't want it...which is bold.

He was also very strategic about the Gulf War in providing a clear mission of liberating Kuwait and sticking to it while others wanted to push all the way to Baghdad.

I think being a President is a lot about timing and both just had very bad timing. They made tough, decisive decisions. The perfect President would have LBJ's clout with Congress and George H.W. Bush's willingness to do the right thing and foreign policy expertise.

If you compare this thread with the last you can find out that this thread does not include George W. Bush. There will be 10 threads like this one and then we have the best President of the last 50 years.

But that is not reasonable, in the first thread several anomalies were already presented. One, respondents already listed Presidents outside of the scope. Two, consequently because of one respondents listed reason why none on your list qualified. Three, there was not enough weight to apply a true victor from the results suggesting an alternate set of polls makes matters worse. Four, one of the answers falls outside of the scope of the question in the first place. JFK was President until his death on November 22, 1963. Some 51 years and 202 days ago.

Having 10 different threads, each missing one that you decide on, does not equate to multiple poll error proof results. It points to fraudulent manipulation of the data in an effort to suggest a political point. So why not just get to that?

Great you guys are reminding me of how old I am, 48. Great President in my lifetime was Clinton.

what a silly way to poll

all had major problems. GHWB had the best resume and was probably the most decent and best man, with Ford Being second. Nixon's recognition of China was the most brilliant move, Carter's boycott of the Olympics the worst along with watergate.

Seriously read my lips dude "No new taxes" lmao. And other than Nixon's criminal tendencies he did get us out of Viet Nam off the silver standard and introduced the EPA. For Carter? He stood for something and he has ever since.

Carter was the biggest phony the oval office has seen in years. from his threats against Olympic athletes who wanted to do what the Brits did in 1980 to his incompetence, Carter was a complete and total joke. the guys assigned to protect him thought he was gaping asshole and while his retirement actions have had commendable moments, his rants about W showed what a low class turd he is

I didn't vote for Bush in 92 due to his No new taxes breach and his executive order attempting to placate the gun banners. but lots of Democrats will secretly admit they admired Bush doing what they thought was right with the taxes. One of the main reasons why W refused to compromise in many areas is because he saw what happened to his father. The liberals kept bugging Bush to put the country first and when GHWB thought he was, the left pilloried him for breaking his promise. W learned Democrats are not going to give a GOP candidate credit for compromising

Moderator's Warning:
Knock off the personal crap, winston.

Isn't Reagan responsible for doing away with the gold standard? If so, he's disqualified in my opinion. Kennedy and Carter were REAL.

1. Kennedy
2. Obama
3. Carter
4. LBJ
5. Ford

But if Kennedy is disqualified for not being president in the last 50 years:

1. Obama
2. Carter
3. LBJ
4. Ford
5. Clinton

What a depressing group of people.

President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho, porn star and five-time ultimate smackdown wrestling champion!!!! A great man, a great american. He will serve up a can of whoop ass if you cross him.

Either him or Clinton.

Whatever happened with Dwight D. Eisenhower? You know...the former 5 Star General of WWII who became POTUS and moved the country through perhaps the greatest era of economic prosperity since the Great Depression, established NASA, DARPA and ushered in the construction of the Inter-state highway system.

And those are just his domestic agenda items.
