I read a great deal which is why I understand the issues. I don't know of anyone (with at least a fringe of credibility) who would say that a victory in Iraq was ever achieved. The goalposts were constantly changed to measure success and the goals of the invasion changed more than Mitt Romney changed positions.

I don't know anyone from the right who believes that. That must be another Disney fairy tale.

There are people on this site that make those claims all the time. They like to rewrite history just like they are trying to do here.

Why did the economy tank? Because the left-wing sub-prime mortgage fiasco started under Slick Willy Clinton, and was overseen by Barney Frank, and it finally blew up under Bush.

Sept. 30, 1999 - New York Times - "Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits...."

The article even had a warning:

"In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's."

    BINGO!

And confirmed by the NY Times.

Bush was president and the buck stops with him. You don't blame the guy before you 8 years into your presidency. And bush was the one who decided to give poor people home loans.

Obama is better for those who hate America
for those who suck on the public teat
for those who are ultra rich and want to be even richer through crony capitalism
    for Putin
    for ISSIS

    for Gun banners

Amongst current presidential scholars, Obama is viewed quite favorably; a better than average President, about on par with Reagan.

Nice try, but it was Clinton's Sub-Prime mortgage fiasco that blew up.

Bush tried to regulate it, but butt-baby Barney Frank said no, Fannie and Freddie were fine.

you mean people who suck on the public teat who trade honesty for fluffing their idol? real scholars say it takes decades to really evaluate a president. what do you think the voting patterns are of "current presidential scholars"

its like citing "Journalists who cover the presidency". I think in 2004 88% admitted to voting for Kerry

I surprised that 12% of anyone would admit to voting for Bush....especially the second time around. Doh!
