    Apples and oranges.

    Bushy was right.

George W. Bush in 2007 warning about the consequences of pulling out of Iraq too early
    Published on Sep 6, 2014

Megyn Kelly reminds her viewers of warnings back in 2007 from President Bush of what would happen if we withdrew from Iraq, that epitomize what is happening right now under the Obama administration. Bush claimed that the withdrawal of U.S. troops before “our commanders tell us we are ready, would be dangerous for Iraq, for the regions, and for the United States.”

“It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to al Queda. It would mean that we’d be risking mass killings on a horrific scale.

It would mean we’d allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan.

It would mean increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is even more dangerous.”

As we all well know, this is exactly what happened. It was even part of Obama’s campaign. He ordered a complete withdrawal, and exactly everything that Bush warmed us about has happened under the watch of Obama.

ISIS is much more “dangerous” than al Queda, and they are far more brutal. They constantly behead and orchestrate the mass killing of women, children, and Christians. And do so for all to see via social media.

Their “safe haven” happens to be the caliphate they established and are imposing on surrounding countries, forcing them to convert to Islam or die.

The warnings Bush gave were so prophetic that they are chilling. Why did our leaders not heed his warnings? Why would Obama disregard his commanders and allow for this to take place? Was this a calculated decision on his part, or was it just ignorance?
    Bushy was right.

WTF would the left believe without RW'ers here to correct their every bizarre notion?

    The facts are always useful.

    Truth is its own reward.

Much less the responsibility of governing without RW'ers on hand to keep them honest, grounded and accurate.

Congress withdrew the promised support of the ARVN forces after we left Saigon and that deprived them of the bullets and etc. to defend themselves, which they amply proved they were capable of and willing to do in the Easter offensive.

Libs succeeded in pulling defeat from the mouth of victory in Viet Nam.

All so they could crow about being right.

Unless you are going off topic and getting all metaphysical or discussing the role of dreams in creativity or something, I'd maintain you don't ever need a dream.

They defeated the world's 5th largest army to do so.

That was no piece of cake, and it was the successful completion of the mission.

How can anyone still be so ignorant of the facts when they have at their fingertips the combined knowledge and wisdom of mankind since the beginning of recorded time?

That just shows the short-sightedness on your part which is the same short-sightedness that Rumsfield and Cheney had. They didn't think it through...any "Victory" in Iraq would be shortlived unless you are willing to commit US forces forever. Most of us are not willing to do that and all that GWB did was destabilize an already volatile region.
