I don't really like him (Ron Paul was better), but he sure as hell is better than the rest of the morons in the GOP and he sure as hell is better than Hillary the clown.

It was pleasing to me when he filibustered the PATRIOT Act and said "**** you" when rubiofag suggested the American "FREEDOM" Act. That gave him some points in my book.

What the GOP needs to win is a moderate that they will actually allow to run as a moderate. Of course, that won't happen as even if they get a moderate, they will force them to run so far to the right that they will be unelectable. Then they will claim they need a true conservative to win.

Very true. You know, putting yourself out there, even if it may cost you the nomination, means a lot to me.

The only way that Rand Paul will ever see the inside of the White House is as a guest.

    Wait and see.

I agree nearly completely. The filibuster was the right thing to do for "citizens." The NeoCons will make him pay for that, but those warmongers may have pushed too far, even with the Republican toadies that believe all the "War of Terror" bullcrap. We, the USA, seem to be the terrorists, or at the very least, we own most of them. It's a bogus agenda, like "Putin is evil," and China is trying to take over the World. Just bogus agendas that pad Military Offense budgets and maintain the status quo of permanent war. "War is good business, and business is good."

As far as national elections go I don't lean left of right. To date there isn't a soul in the GOP mob of candidates I'd consider.

A person cannot get nominated in the GOP unless he/she kisses several rings starting with the Kochs, the Extreme Religious Right and the Tea Party. No thank you very much. I don't want them in my government any more than they are.

Bush and Hillary have never been candidates for my vote and that will not change.

Not long after Goldwater, the Republicans won 5 out of 6 presidential elections with Nixon, Reagan, and Bush Sr.

Yep, and that's a huge problem in the GOP right now. One has to be 100% ideological pure, if they are not then the religious right and TP want nothing to do with them. I truly believe Jeb will be the GOP nominee, but because he isn't 100% 'pure' AND he's a Catholic he will not be the 1st choice of the religious right and the TP, hell he might not be their 5th choice. So Jeb will have to kiss their asses and he'll have to run far, far to the right in the primaries, and that will end up hurting him in the general election.

Do you really think that Ron Paul was better? Some people compare him with Jean-Marie Le Pen.

Maybe if you leaned left or right you would have much better information about how somebody in the GOP gets nominated?
