If you're not a petty, partisan, loser, then there's not one on this planet.

You constantly post comments opposing President Obama but when have you ever offered any reasonable ideas?

With you, it's all about opposing the Black guy in the White House.

If that upsets you then all that I'm going to say is that maybe, just maybe, you need to adjust your attitude just a little. You are way out of touch with most Americans.

Obama will be in the White House until another Democrat takes his place in 2017.

Wait and see.

If you don't think so, that's just more evidence that you're out of touch.

Come back and tell me all about it after the election next year.

The clock is ticking.

Talking to yourself?

Cuz...otherwise...that would be a personal attack. You and your personal attacks. Why you so mad?

Funny how often folk like you attribute ANY critique of the democrats to an attack on "the black man".

Your tears continue to water my garden. It's going to be a bumper crop this year!

Had the kids and grandkids over yesterday - ribs on the grill which were amazing. Then we went to the park and my five year old grandson asked what the day was and why it was so special. So I explained just a bit about we honor the people that made the country great so he and I could have the great day we were having and all the other people in the park as well. I soft pedaled the death and dying thing as I feel he was not yet ready for that. But he seemed to get it.

So yeah - grilling and chilling is fine as long as we don't forget the real purpose of it all.

Those near and dear to me who served and died are long gone. There are some who's loss is more immediate though, and in that sense Obama could've been a little more circumspect in releasing such a photo. I have no objection to the president enjoying some ice cream - I like it too - but perhaps he could've been more sensitive about what the moment means to some. That's about it. Otherwise, I hope everybody had a good weekend and took a few minutes to consider who made it possible, including the president. I'm hopeful he did, and didn't just go through the motions.

I have never been able to think of the day as one of mourning; I have never quite been able to feel that half-masted flags were appropriate on Decoration Day. I have rather felt that the flag should be at the peak, because those whose dying we commemorate rejoiced in seeing it where their valor placed it. We honor them in a joyous, thankful, triumphant commemoration of what they did.

Memorial Day is to honor our fallen soldiers. And we should do that, absolutely. But, is it acceptable to BBQ on Memorial Day, or should we spend the day in deep thought and solemn remembrance?
Of course it is. What a silly question.

Is this a dialogue involving you? And for that matter...why didnt you address your comment to 'the other guy'? Oh yeah...THATS why....

Nothing will surprise me about next years election. Hell I called Hillary in 2016 before the 2012 elections. There are just that many mindless crippled dependent pets out there eager and willing to vote for her. Then again...they will vote for a steaming pile of **** with a D next to it as long as it promises them free stuff and tells them their ****ty life is someone else's fault.

Why do you call millions of people who you don't know names?

In my faith, when we honor our ancestors, we feast. Lot of America kindreds hold the Feast of the Einherjar on Memorial Day for just this reason.

No doubt!

We should celebrate our freedom and remember those that fought for this and for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice!

(one exception would be fish--no fish will ever touch my grill! :) )

Well, for me it was a nice day off and a chance to BBQ.

I love cooking fish on the grill, with an extremely light glaze of BBQ sauce. Then I put an awesome peach salsa on top of it. So, so good.
