They should have treated it like any other criminal coming after a police officer. See all this "black lives matter" stuff started after Michael Brown got shot, but he got shot after a strong-arm robbery, going after a cop. People are comparing it to the Trayvon Martin shooting. In my opinion, the two could not be more different. I truly feel that Martin was killed by a wannabe cop who was told to stay in his car, and he didn't. Martin was innocent. Brown was not.

People need to stop looking at color and start looking at the reason they got shot.

The fact that you think none of the black people supporting black lives matter care about their own lives or their lives of their family members except when they are threatened by white people demonstrates that you are a part of the problem. The reason black parents take their children to school is because they think black lives matter. The reason black children take care of their elderly parents is because they think black lives matter. The reason black adults volunteer for programs to help at-risk black youth is because they think black lives matter. It's disrespectful to those people, many of whom are "Black Lives Matter people", to argue, as you have, that they only think black lives matter when a white person kills them. Just because you are blind doesn't mean something doesn't exist. Maybe you should stop believing what the news tells you and go talk to the people on the ground about what they actually believe.

Well, technically, Trayvon Martin also did a lot of things wrong too (not going home, confronting Zimmerman, beating Zimmerman to the ground, not letting him up, trying to grab for his gun). Just like people always say "If Zimmerman had just stayed in his car...." same goes for Trayvon -- "If he would've just went home..." Both of them did stupid things - just because Zimmerman did the FIRST stupid thing, doesn't mean Trayvon was innocent at all.

I know we disagree on this. Just wanted to put the other side out there. But let's not digress.....

If you don't understand the meaning of Black lives matter, you're either clueless or obtuse.

Oh, I know many black people do care. I'm just saying the only time the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag trends on Twitter or is talked about in the media is when a black person is killed by a white person. There are many people who care all the time --- but you can't deny that there are many who ONLY care when there's a white person involved.

What percentage (estimated, of course) of black people involved in Black Lives Matter do you think only care about their and their family members lives when a white person is involved?

I think probably 99% care about their family members no matter what happens to them.

Then that means that 99% of black people involved in Black Lives Matter believe that black lives matter no matter who poses a threat to them which, in turn, means that your original assertion is inaccurate.

    Incorrect.....for obvious reasons.

So if 99% of black people involved in Black Lives Matter care about their BLACK family members' lives all the time by your own admission, they only care about black lives when white people are involved? That is literally impossible. Those statements are inherently contradictory. It's nice that you think so little of black people though to think their care for each other is opportunistic rather than genuine.
