why are socialists generally so hateful of honest people owning guns? is it that an armed population is a vaccine against the creeping collectivist crud of socialism?
What do politics of a commenter have to do with the fact that a 15 year old boy; (1) had access to a firearm in his bedroom and (2) first reaction was to fire a round thru a window in the dark of night?

I was shooting .22 shorts at 8 years old. There's no issue as long as kids are taught, supervised and understand that guns are not toys. The one thing that was drilled into my head was this: You don't point a gun at anything you aren't going to shoot - ever.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Not that I see that in the 2A, it is the law pretty much nation wide.

As I said when I started in this thread; You Americans often seem mad to the rest of us.
Guess what, we don't care how you do it wherever you are.

Perhaps he got it the same place that all the gangers living in impoverished areas created by the failure of socialistic policies got theirs. You know, from the guys that give them the drugs to transport or sell.
Be sure to work hard and get lots of overtime. People on welfare want more steaks and free upgrades to smart phones with unlimited data packages.

Maybe because we spend more time thinking and less time reacting emotionally

    Re: Age limits on firearms?

I have four grandchildren living in Southern Ohio. One granddaughter and three grandsons. They close the schools the first day of deer season so the kids can go hunting with their dads. When they turn 12 they get their first shot gun. They also get some wicked knives and learn how to field dress a deer and turkey. Some might like to ban them also. They have a dad that teaches them safety and respect for guns. They are stored in gun safes. They learn to clean and care for their firearms. They also have compound bows that they use to hunt. They live in the country and have a section where they set up targets for practice. There's probably some self righteous political correct person that would like to have that banned as well. Just read an article where a kid was expelled from school for having a Nerf bullet in his pants pocket. The insanity has to end.
