For right-leaning voters only.... If Jeb Bush is the nominee for the GOP....

If Jeb Bush is the GOP nominee, I will....

I would vote for Jeb ( not my first choice ) mainly because there's going to be at least 1 supreme court nomination within the next 10 years.

I dont want Hillary to be the one making that decision.

the president is the executive of the law....it is his job to see all constitutional and federal law is upheld.

your point is you want to vote for man, so he can appoint people to a court of a particular political lean, so you have have rulings in your favor.

So what? I'm not suggesting the president pick a judge who is not qualified or not competent.

i belive you wish the president to be a democrat, so he will pick a liberal leaning judge to sit on the court, so future decisions of the court will be rendered towards the left.

Well that's sad ;)

I'm fairly firmly in the Bush camp and have been for quite a while. Domestic policy neoconservatism, Disraeli conservatism is more of my thing. We believe in an active government to uphold traditional values and enrich the lives of minorities and the underprivileged where possible. Government's job should in part be to ensure that in the process of aiding the underprivileged, it doesn't disrupt traditional social mechanisms which kept them stable (the churches, the family, and so on). We also stress the utilization of government---traditional social partnerships in the distribution of services rather than purely through a government administrative state. I.e. Faith-based initiatives, peer support, etc.

On the top of my plate I generally like his stances on education, he has a pretty decent outlook on mental health and other disability issues, is pretty close to what I view appropriate for bioethics....

His foreign policy, on the other hand, will have more differences from me (I'm more of a realist school on that front).

depends on who is on the other ticket

if hillary, my inclination would be 'yes' ... however, his political machinations this week have not served him well

Bush vs. Clinton? ....then I will vote for Perot. Just kidding, that was a 1992 flash back :). I would definitely vote for Jeb Bush instead of Hillary Clinton. There is a huge difference between the two.
 
If it comes down to Jeb and Hillary, I will hold my nose and vote for Jeb.

NOT because I like him, but because Hillary would be detrimental to the nation.

Far too many Republicans and conservatives stayed home last election and look at what we got.

i would probably vote for him,granted no better candidate shows his face.

i think he is a good candidate,but i also think his family name will hurt him,as wel as the bush family pushing their policies onto him if he ever gets the spotlight.
 
I think for right leaning Republicans Jeb Bush can not be the candidate. He is to left for their.

And?? What's wrong with voting for someone you feel will do things you approve of? That's what pretty much everybody does.

so instead of voting for a president who's job is to preserve protect and defend the constitution, which is the duty of the president.

now we have resorted to voting for a man, because he gets to nominate people of a certain political character, so the court will rule in favor of the voter.

its no wonder the u.s. government is bought and paid for, the politicians don't follow the constitution...and the people vote for people, for the wrong reasons.

I see him as a moderate who has in the past badmouthed conservatives. I do respect his executive experience and will see more of his stances in the upcoming debates-but as of now I am leaning towards the more conservative candidates.

I also have some fatigue regarding his name, as with Hillary.

Probably, as he's my ideal GOP candidate at the moment. There are only a few others who I'm even willing to consider. Depending on how the race shapes up I might even max out my donations to him for the primary.

I'm with you to a great degree, though my fear on foreign policy is probably opposite. My concern is that in an effort to detach himself from his brother he'll be a much more willing to embrace the air of non-interventionism and artificial caution that has cropped up within the GOP. Though at present that doesn't seem to be happening it doesn't mean that as the race progresses he wont be forced to make those kinds of shifts. I also wish he was slightly less hawkish on the debt/deficit since I don't think that is what we need right now. But I loved his Detroit speech on immigration reform and the focus on "...growth, growth, growth" above else.

He is not my choice as the nominee and I would likely have to hold my nose, but against any of the Dem hopefuls out there right now, I think Jeb would do far less damage. So I would put ideology aside and vote what I believe would be in the best interest of the country.

If the Dems would run somebody like Joe Manchin I might have to think about that quite a bit more but so far he isn't even on the radar.

And in all fairness to Jeb, he has 17 months to change my mind about him too.
