Where the hell is Canada?
I'm guessing that the OP means large as in 'population,' not as in 'geography.'
Where the hell is Canada?
To your north.
Each one has it's pro's and cons. I'm assuming "big" is based on population and not land mass. Given other high population countries like China, Indonesia, India, Japan, etc I would still prefer to live in America. It's far far more affordable that other western nations and is very diverse. There are beaches, mountains, canyons, plains, even tundra if you like that (with Alaska). There are many unique and distinct cities and centers of culture like NYC, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, DC, Dallas, etc. The diversity can sometimes be a problem because I feel that each region has it's own spats and prejudices against the others, but overall I think it's a good thing and provides for numerous opportunities. With higher wages, lower cost of living, typically much more affordable housing and diverse regions I'd say America is the "best" large country, and not just because this is where I live.
As far as "best" in best at all things, no country has claim to that.
Canada may be much smaller by population, but overall I believe they have a better culture. If I didn't have to take a cut in wages I would strongly consider immigrating there as I do like the country and I'd still be close to home near my family.
I think he means 'in the poll,' not as in 'where it's physically resides on a map.'
Don't be so sure - many Americans don't even know Canada exists, let alone where it is on a map - but then, DP members are generally a more knowledgeable group, so you're likely correct.
Then where the h*** is Indonesia?
Australia cant be the best everything is trying to kill you there, getting killed is generally not considered a good thing
I think there is a lot to love about the US, but a few differences made me vote for Germany. I think they have better government, for one. I also think their people are generally happier because they lead a less stressful life. They are heavily taxed but the benefits far outweigh the lighter wallets.
I should visit Europe and Germany. As a second I'd probably pick Japan because I like the technology and food, but Germany would be a close one. I think if I had to live in Europe I'd likely go to Germany. Although when I'm in Canada I may scope out the pharmacy job market haha.
I gave Japan a second look, but there are some social issues that made me hesitate. For one, the gender gap is insanely huge.
PS. I would love to have you here in Canada! :kissy:
Are you ****ing kidding me?
Ahhhhh... Germany??? :doh
How do you know unless you have lived abroad? I'll stick with the good ol USA
We have and it is Canada.
Odd how it did not make the listing?
Japan is 61st by size
Germany 62nd.
UK 79th
From your list.....USA, France, Brazil, UK, Germany, Japan, China, India, Russia. In that order.
And wine
You left out Italy, I love Italy, if nothing else for it's food.
