Did Gray inflict damage on himself in police van in baltimore?

Do you believe that Mr. Gray actually inflict damage to his body to frame police for brutality in Baltimore..also how does the other prisoner in police van know or feel that gray was purposely hurting himself but could not se him? Why on video tape gray legs are not working when he is being put in van..actually they are dragging while 2 police are holding him up . And you can see the pain in his face...please tell us your thoughts

Exactly! Time to not jump to conclusions and wait until the investigation is over.

Can I know one way or the other? No. Is it especially plausible? Not one ****ing bit.

It's impossible for a person such as myself to answer that question, so I won't. What I would say is that when a prisoner is in the care of the police their safety and security is also the responsibility of the police. Just as with a mentally disturbed patient in a hospital, the custodian is responsible for ensuring that those in their care remain safe and secure. Culpability still would rest with the officers in charge whether Mr. Gray self inflicted his injuries or they were caused against him.

Yeah, Im not buying that story either. The man seemed to be in significant pain before he got into the van. It seems more likely that he was injured during the chase or when being tazed.

The thing is that the van story doesn't require any video evidence. They can just keep saying it, and there is no video one way or another.

He was trussed up like a Christmas turkey, and couldn't even walk without assistance before they tossed him into the van. That particular "rumor" turned out to be completely untrue, as the other prisoner couldn't see Gray and denies ever making the statement that he was "hurting himself".

Did he sustain fatal injuries while in police custody? Yes. Did he do it to himself? I don't believe it for a second.

Of course not. It would not have been possible for him to break his own neck and collapse is own throat with his hands cuffed behind him. It is absurd to even suggest that happened.

It is as credible as if a defense attorney claimed that although there is a video of the defendant repeatedly stabbing the deceased victim, how can we know the victim didn't take the knife and do the actual lethal stabbings to himself after the video wasn't running.

It is known, absolutely, what happened because it is on video.

It appears possible greater injury WAS very possibly caused in the police van. There is a history of Baltimore police putting people into those, unsecured and with their arms cuffed behind so the person couldn't shield himself - and then driving wildly deliberately. There has been instances of this resulting in those in the back when this is done in Baltimore in which the person was killed, back or neck broken, paralyzed etc in Baltimore. The city has paid as much as $6 million in damages in the past for doing so.
