Ok. That's a pretty deep philosophical point that would be near impossible to glean from your poll questions.

The "poll" makes no sense. There is no such black and white when it comes to mankind, if the King James quote is of any value, it should suggest a deeper approach to the human condition.

Wise and poor is not poor. Stupid and rich is not rich. Please have a look at philosophy 101.

Eh, I have some questions, some caveats, a few quid-pro-quos....

    How rich? How poor?

How much knowledge? How badly ignorant?

A million dollars wouldn't be worth being a drooling window-licker who has to be reminded to wipe afterwards.

"Understanding the truth" in what sense? What truth? How much knowledge? Would I be some super-Einstein/Edison hybrid capable of conceptualizing the universe in my own head, someone who'd look down on Steven Hawking as a retard? IF so I wouldn't stay poor long.

Although it is rather esoteric, such a question should have an obvious answer to someone like you. Please don't take that as an insult. Just saying.

I could never be ignorant in a general sense.

That is a personal trait. And a choice.

Wealth is external. I would take wealth and continue to not be ignorant...in fact...it would expand my horizons exponentially.

You do know that poor people abuse drugs too?And had Rush been poor he most likely would be in prison for abusing prescription drugs.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Exactly. Ignorant about what? What truth? How rich?
Some of the ignorant people are pretty smart about lots of stuff, and some of the most intelligent people can act pretty ignorant. Both can be rich in their own right.
