so the groups that provide aid after natural disasters aren't helping people? The LDS have lots of stuff to donate and the Catholic Church has a good distribution network, and they work together to provide aid. Money donated to the aid fund goes 99% to helping people. The churches cover the overhead, and nearly all the workers are volunteers. The Salvation Army is a good group to donate to as well, its CEO gets a pittance for salary compared to most charitable groups.
Good people with good causes are out there, believe it or not.

and....smaller churches like the one my older sister attends....they provide assistance to the homebound within their group. My sister would have precious little contact were it not for her Sunday School group that has someone visit her regularly.

The fatal flaw in your reasoning and world view is that you believe everybody is like you.

So you talked to yourself. Great, thanks for the info.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Sure they are and there are plenty of non-religious groups out there on the ground doing it as well. However, as with the recent Nepal disaster, you have plenty of religious groups sending Bibles to affected areas, not actual aid. There is only limited space on those planes and the more religious nonsense they send, the less room there is for things that actually matter like food, medical supplies, etc.

And actually, the Salvation Army is a horrible organization, it often provides aid based on coercion. You have to be willing to listen to a sermon or pretend that you've converted to Christianity to get a hot meal or a bed for the night. Plus, at the higher echelons at least, they control who their members are allowed to marry and those who decide to go against these requirements are unceremoniously tossed out of their jobs. If you think that's a good group, there's something wrong with you.

Nope, if everyone was, the world would be a much better place so clearly that's not true. But when it comes to acting logically and rationally, religions and the religious certainly do not do so and there's nothing wrong with pointing out the fallacy in such positions. Stupid people deserve to have their stupidity pointed out to them.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've given up pointing it out because I always get responses like this...
