Again, you are dodging, that kind of thing happens with drunks all the time...but there is a toxic limit to which alcohol kills you. What is that limit with marijuana? NONE

So, on one case, you are all about personal responsibility, but then you aren't.

If someone gets so high, they fall off a building (which must be damned rare), it is their personal responsibility, but when someone dies from alcohol poisoning, or does something stupid from alcohol and dies (remember, alcohol is LEGAL), you don't see the equivalence, it is their personal responsibility too.

How many people die from alcohol poisoning every year?

And you are one of those people who want what they want and refuse to look at the data that does disprove the lie that marijuana has no risks.

Your kid is 136 times more likely to be poisoned by diaper cream than by weed - The Washington Post

Even drilling down to the Colorado numbers, let's recall that the most widely-cited study unearthed a grand total of 14 kids going to the E.R. for accidental marijuana ingestion between October 2009 and December 2011. That represents about 2.4 percent all ingestion-related E.R. visits for that age group over that period. While nobody wants to see a kid go to the hospital, every single one of the 14 was sent home, and "none of these exposures resulted in permanent morbidity or mortality," according to the study.

Are you one of those people who refuse to admit that no one has ever died from overdosing on marijuana? But then ignores alcohol poisoning deaths?

You make claims, but don't back them up. Just don't drink, smoke or do marijuana, I respect that. But don't make up horror stories where there is no horror.

Heavy use of marijuana has been linked to schizophrenia. Which explains a lot.

You should be trying to stop alcohol and tobacco, they actually kill people, and ruin families.

Which explains a lot...nice try. I've smoked pot exactly twice since the first week in February.

Because it is soooooooooo addictive! LOL

Whose making anything up? The information from doctors and their organizations have been warning people not to fall the happy horse **** you are espousing as if marijuana has not real risks.

    for instance

In spite of government and media warnings about health risks, many people see cannabis as a harmless substance that helps you to relax and 'chill' - a drug that, unlike alcohol and cigarettes, might even be good for your physical and mental health.

On the other hand, research over the last 10 years has suggested that it can have serious consequences for people, such as the development of an enduring psychotic illness, particularly in those who are genetically vulnerable.

Really? I'd like to see that come to the actual votes. Do you have links or poll data that show this? I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

Maybe not this yr, but in the next 5 yrs? All would vote yes. Most intelligent people dont keep their heads in the sand no matter how good a job their grammar school did indoctrinating them differently.

Tax after tax increase every damn time the government needs money. Are you paying attention to what they just did to beer and wine lately? Many folks vote for sin taxes to exempt themselves from paying for the load of crap they allowed the government to extend welfare services. All those cigarette taxes are paying for child welfare programs. Better the sinner smoker pay for them instead of the asshole who insisted on expanding welfare. Better the wine and beer drinker pay for any other overbloated legislation and better for the marijuana user do the same. Alcohol, tobacco, marijuana all have addicting effects. So what a perfect set up, screw the addicted one with the increase in taxes so the unaddicted one doesn't feel the pinch. What we are seeing now is people who smoke are crossing state lines to buy their cigs in another state where it is less expensive. Here in Ohio, people head to Kentucky and West Virginia to stock up after Ohio raised taxes on cigs making cigarettes over 2.00 a pak more expensive than crossing state lines and getting them cheaper. It has also caused a flourish of black market activity. Marijuana will be no different.
Even from what you wrote here, legalizing pot sounds good! LOL
