Even MSNBC admits that they're biased.

So? They don't have personal appearances by candidates like Fox News does all the time. Fox News has already had Cruz and Rubio. Just watch as each Republican declares their candidancy for POTUS, Fox News will have them on as guests.

I will take meaningless stats for 1000, Alex. What did I win.

Stats without context are meaningless. For your stats to have any meaning you would need comparisons to their appearance on other channels, and the numbers for no republican appearances on Fox. Without those you have nothing.

Yep. Amongst other realities. There are undoubtably Democrats who will not go onto Fox News, just like there are likely republicans who won't go onto MSNBC, specifically because of the presumed biases and the assumption that they will not get a fair shake. Additionally, the reality is that no matter how much people may want to argue and dispute the notion of the "left wing media", one can't really dispute there's only one major news organization that is viewed as catering to right leaning viewership. That's important for two things...

First...If one is prepping to run in a republican primary, and one recognizes that the channel with the largest percentage of GOP primary voters watching it is Fox News, then it would make sense that you'd take every oppertunity to get on that channel and push your message possible. That's not about FOX being the official mouth piece; it's about intelligent politicians recognizing demographic information and making the smart political choice.

Second...because of the nature of our news infastructure now, it really doesn't matter what station you go on, your message will likely get around. It's going to be picked up by blogs, potentially quoted in papers, etc. So if that's the case, why not go somewhere that you feel is going to be more friendly/less hostile (however you want to view it) towards you.

Right on queue Megyn Kelly interviews Marco Rubio.

Oh my goodness, that shameless hussy! She interviewed a man who that day declared his candidacy for President on her prime time show? Wow. Maybe Clay Aiken and Beyoncé were doing something else that night and she couldn't book them. I mean, who thinks anyone watches Fox News to learn about what's going on in the world of politics? Of course everyone watches Fox News to get an update on Dancing With The Stars and the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Sorry, I forgot this post.

The point I am making is that Fox News is the Mouthpiece for the Republican Party. Case in point is they feature as guests all Republicans who declare their candancy for president. So far they have had Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. This doesn't bother me, I am simply making the point that nobody does this for the Democratic party. And I don't want anybody doing it for them either.

That's an interesting argument. Can you show us where Hillary Clinton has tried to get on FOX and been denied? Or even where Hillary has made herself available? Or even where Hillary has been willing to expose herself to actual questions in a non-softball atmosphere at all for the past several years?

The funny thing is, she actually went after him, trying to get him on the "you've got a problem with women, don't you?" angle.

She didn't succeed, necessarily, from the little of it I heard (I don't have TV in my house), but she was hardly being a mouthpiece.

yes, Fox news is an RNC infomercial that cherry picks stories in order to appeal to the confirmation bias of its viewers. MSNBC tries to do the same thing, but fails miserably. both should be loosely categorized under infotainment, not journalism.

Comedy Central does infotainment better than either of them, but probably not after Jon Stewart leaves the Daily Show.

But the media matters graph lists 15 candidates and that is what you used. I know its been near the end of March since Cruz announced, last week Paul announced and Rubio announced over the weekend.I seriously doubt Cruz, Paul, and Rubio been on a total of 244 times since their announcement.

I am simply making the point that nobody does this for the Democratic party. And I don't want anybody doing it for them either.

Obama only won 2008 because the media propped him up. Obama had Oprah Winfrey's endorse and appeared other talk shows and the media in general did positive name recognition stories about Obama.

We expected you to defend them to the death. Just waiting for Grim and US Con to jump in and complete the trifecta.

Still surprised (as mentioned in another thread) none of the networks have tried to do a nightly block of shows like The Daily Show, Colbert Report, The Soup, Bill Maher, etc. The current version of basically talk radio on TV seems to only really work for Fox anymore, but some reason the other networks keep trying.

To the OP/Poll, I would have said yes originally, but people brought up some good points. After reading and thinking about it, it does seem like Fox News is less the mouthpiece and more pulling at least a few of the strings in the party. Not really with the RNC (they could be, but kind of doubt it) but more with the voters.

Because there are how many other candidates for the Democratic party right now besides Hillary Clinton...?

Maybe they do this because the people who watch the Fox News network are interested in the candidates. My local ABC network affiliate here in NH has had all of the candidates on and even guys who haven't officially declared yet, like George Pataki, Chris Christie, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker, just in the last few weeks alone....does that mean WMUR is also a mouthpiece for the Republican Party (or maybe they know that some people actually want to hear from the candidates)?

I wish I had seen that!

I am certain Fox would love to have her and maybe she will eventually go on Fox, but she just recently announced so I don't think she would do it until she was nominated.

I am not complaining that Fox interviews all the Republican candidates because I think the fact that they do will result in noninating the person who have the least chances of winning the election. I believe that happened in 2008 and 2012,

How is the issue of gay marriage been to you in the culture wars?

How is the issue of gay marriage been to you in the culture wars?

It is an issue of Freedom from Association Why should churches and business before to do things that violate their faith.

Furthermore it is not that big of an issue compared to many other issues like taxes, immigration, school vouchers, ect. Its mostly just left wing kabuki theater to draw away attention from the massive failures of leftism.

In short then can not compete in the market place..Which the ratings prove this.

All Fox News' ratings prove is that there's a market for right-wing lies and GOP shilling. Doesn't surprise me. Conservatives often trend more toward self-affirmation than liberals do. That's a generalization, of course, not a truism, but it's pretty obvious.

Plus keep arranging deck chairs on the Titanic, with the free market and the internet we will continue to beat you.

When we secure the border, deport the illegals, limit legal immigration and take back education the future of Leftism in America will be very bleak indeed..
