That's cool, but not paying for them or willingly taking part in them.

If you don't buy it. Is the kid the one with the problem, or is it the parent? Not wanting to look bad, or some how feeling they failed as a parent. Does it really matter, would you love the kid any less. If so, then you really shouldn't have kids anyway

Gi Joe would have been cool. He came with a .45 and an AR that looked similar to the real ones my daughters shot.

Would be happy to buy a doll, but not Barbie, because she's such a gross distortion of reality. (based on a German sex toy) What's GI Joe if not a (macho) doll for boys?
    Don't work out, work in.

Now none of us were swimming in money so we tended to take cheap lightweight stuff (ramen noodles) rather than expensive lightweight stuff (Mountain House freeze dried), and cook in tiny pans over tiny lightweight hiking stoves (not conducive to gourmet cooking). After the first couple hikes, I became Designated Chef as I changed the menu to include pancakes and bacon for breakfast, beef stew and potatoes for the first night's dinner (it will stay frozen most of a day wrapped in foil), and stuff like that.

Hey, I like to eat well, so I like to cook.
One of the reasons my wife likes to go camping is I do all the camp cooking and we eat well!

I'm very impressed by campsite gourmets. Very.

Ummm..Barbie was flat chested and didn't really have any curves to speak of the last time I saw it. Though that was some years ago now and the last I heard there was plans to make it fat looking. It hasn't been a curvy big boobs doll since at least the eighties.

Yes. Why are barbie's considered a "girls only" toy? It makes no sense.

    And the Power Rangers, OMG!

I did turn out gay, though. But that probably had nothing to do with it.
