Well what do you think the apparent Republican nominee will do?

Clearly the OP has a student loan issue. If you have a proposal about student loans, then make it. What has the current President proposed regarding student loans? He is the one actually in the office.

Well what do you think the apparent Republican nominee will do?

It is March, in the year before the primaries even start, in a field of about 10 major potential candidates for the republican nomination. There are no ****ing apparent nominees yes,

There is nothing preventing anyone from refinancing a student loan.

So the real question is will Jeb Bush (or anyone else) propose forcing banks to accept lower interest rates on existing loans - ie another politician promising free money.

I see NO reason why they poll is only about Jeb Bush OTHER than the Bush political machinery constantly flooding the internet to try to create the appearance that he is the #1 and unstoppable candidate.

A Jeb Bush candidacy sucks and it the worst possible candidate the Republicans could run.

You beat me to it. This is the third poll he started about student loans. Someone must be delinquent in his student loan.

Someone must be delinquent in his student loan.

That does not make sense. You have a picture of a horse as your avatar. Does that mean you have a sexual fetish for horses?

Well whoopy doo!!!! :2rofll:

OK. Seriously. Fair enough.

According to THIS opinion poll he is on top of the 20 potential GOP contenders at the present moment. But you are most certainly right, there is no apparent nominee at this point.

That said, since he is on top in that poll, and he has a very visible name, it would be interesting to see if people think whether he would put forward a plan to let student loan consumers refinance their debt.

There is nothing preventing anyone from refinancing a student loan.

First of all there are currently no federal programs that allow student loan consumers to refinance their debt. Second of all, it is not necessarily easy to refinance any type of debt. Even Ben Bernanke was turned down when he tried to refinance his home.

You Know It’s a Tough Market When Bernanke Can’t Refinance

Ben S. Bernanke said the mortgage market is so tight that even he is having a hard time refinancing his own home loan.

The former Federal Reserve chairman, speaking at a conference in Chicago yesterday, told moderator Mark Zandi of Moody’s Analytics Inc. -- “just between the two of us” -- that “I recently tried to refinance my mortgage and I was unsuccessful in doing so.”

When the audience laughed, Bernanke said, “I’m not making that up.”

First of all the government is making student loans now. As such there is no good reason why student loan consumers should not be allowed to refinance their student loan debt. The next thing is that refinancing a loan does not mean the that borrower gets the money for free.

I see NO reason why they poll is only about Jeb Bush OTHER than the Bush political machinery constantly flooding the internet to try to create the appearance that he is the #1 and unstoppable candidate.

He is leading in one poll and he has name recognition.

A Jeb Bush candidacy sucks and it the worst possible candidate the Republicans could run.

Name one potential Republican candidate that does not suck. Will that person make a proposal that will allow student loan consumers to opportunity to refinance their loans?

She can't help that. Although she does not realize it, she is reacting like that due to underlying insecurity that is caused by a strong attachment to mundane things. Actually, she is probably a very nice, beautiful woman underneath all that.

No, what she said makes perfect sense. What you just wrote is nonsense.

LOL. I bet you have no idea what you just wrote. But please, continue your psychological analysis doctor. Its fascinating.

Oh no! I know exactly what I just wrote, and what I said is true. It is you who have absolutely no idea what I just wrote. It is way out of your conceptual perimeters, at least at this point.

No, what she said makes perfect sense.

No what she said made no damn sense. The proof of that is, in truth, I am not delinquent on any student loans.

You Know It

The is no law that prohibits a student loan being paid in full. Accordingly, there also is no law prohibiting taking out a loan to pay off a student loan - or any other debt. This equates to refinancing.

Is obtaining a loan easy? Not without great credit or collateral. So it seems the real question is should law require reducing the interest rate and/or extending the payment period to reduce the payments - and not just refinancing. Refinancing itself is not prohibited.

It sounds like the REAL question is will Jeb Bush try to buy votes from people with student loans - the way politicians now try to buy votes with the public treasury.

I will gladly sell my vote to Jeb Bush for 20 million dollars! :lamo

It would make more sense to allow candidates to buy votes WITH THEIR OWN MONEY than how it works now.

Whatever he decides to do will probably be the wrong decision.

The fact that this pathetic idiot could be POTUS shows how totally useless Americans are at voting (and Clinton is just as pathetic, but in a different way).

Jeez ignorant masses...do America a favor and stay home on election day because you people suck BIG TIME at picking leaders. Your dog would have a better chance of picking a good leader.
