Jeremy Clarkson booted of Top Gear UK, political correctness strikes in the UK too?

I do not know how many people here have watched in some form or another the antics of the English versions of Moe, Larry and Curly aka the top gear UK presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James "Captain Slow" May and Richard "Hamster" Hammond.

The almost death of one of it's presenters did not end the show, the obvious previous controversies did not end the show (the gay incident, the Germany incident, the Romania incident, the Mexican incident, the racial comments of Clarkson incidents, the Argentina incident, the anti-Bush incident, the Alabama incident).

It was one man who in fact was the reason Jeremy Clarkson (who added numerous other incidents to his portfolio) was sacked. That accidental "stumbling block" for the Top Gear presenter was producer Oisin Tymon (who like the really adult and morally upstanding viewership of Top Gear in the UK is being horrendously attacked online for his part in the sacking of their hero Clarkson).

And why is he the man who stopped/ended Top Gear UK is because Clarkson decided he was allowed to verbally abuse that particular producer of the show, interrupting his verbal abuse for him and other Top Gear staff just long enough to strike mr. Tymon in the face (resulting in swelling and a bleeding lip). That is of course the "crime" that allows all those top gear watchers in the UK (most likely the same idiots who loved a good football hooligan fight, you know, cro-magnon man/neanderthal man) to attack him online (twitter, facebook). Some people even wish serious pain and death on mr. Tymon, really how idiotic can people be.

But this opens op a bigger issue, are companies too politically correct? Is the government too politically correct?

Gives up your thoughts on this important issue.

That show is going to be worthless without him. That is assuming they even try to continue it.

The univision thing can be found here:

And for those who do not watch Honey Boo Boo here is the information on that one:

Another issue is, should people who make death threats on Twitter be prosecuted? Or banned from social media for their actions?

Isn't this like when they tried kicking the old man off Duck Dynasty, and the network found out the hard way that he would take his entire show and go elsewhere, leaving A&E standing there like a loser?

The English police have, from what I have understood, requested the report and information the BBC has from this spat of violence from Jeremy Clarkson. So he may have to deal with legal consequences on top of being fired.

Most likely some commercial channel will pay him an awful lot of money to keep him on TV.

I've been watching this for years now, own a few of the seasons and various specials, and I understand clearly why Jeremy Clarkson has to be let go.

We talk from time to time about celebrity double standards and we can assume with ease that if a producer walked up and hit Jeremy that producer would be fired on the spot. Jeremy did this to himself, and by effect harmed a long term running good ratings show.

We also cannot dismiss that Jeremy has had several run-ins with management over various issues. It is no surprise to see it end like this, no matter how disappointing for the series.

You are right. And it would give off the wrong message and a legal headache for the BBC if they had not sacked him for gross misconduct because in the future the would have real problems if they wanted to sack someone else for gross misconduct. That person could then hire an lawyer and point towards the BBC's behavior in this case.

You have to understand, Clarkson's misadventures are a good part of why he's so popular. Heck, the show is even popular over here. They found a winning trio that now has an international following. But hey, the BBC doesn't care, they still collect the same TV license fees anyway.

You have to understand that some sort of understanding may excuse some behavior but violence is not one of them, come to think of it neither is showing of prejudices.
