Re: Are government agents posing as DP posters?

Possibly. Israel is known to do this, so is Russia.. Im not sure about the US tho. I think I read somewhere that we (the US) might have a program like this, but not entirely sure. But its quite possible.

Snowden's disclosures along with Wikileaks as well as FOIA's have all documented this.

Americans’ telephone conversations already are being monitored by the National Security Agency and their health-care policies by the Internal Revenue Service. Now there’s “Truthy,” a government-funded project at Indiana University that will watch their Tweets for “political smears” and “social pollution.”

The federal government is spending nearly $1 million to create an online database that will track “misinformation” and hate speech on Twitter.

I hope not. If anyone deserves a salary for posting here, it's the mods.

Re: Are government agents posing as DP posters?

Why would they need to?

They have every file and key-press you've ever made on your computer/phone/tablet on a server somewhere anyways. They now have this now that I've typed it. It all just auto-saves into endless servers of data.

Re: Are government agents posing as DP posters?

You can be paid for posting on DP? Where do I get one of these cushy government jobs?

These folks may be able to point you in the right direction

Thought-police is here

The Foreign Ministry unveiled a new plan this week: Paying talkbackers to post pro-Israel responses on websites worldwide. A total of NIS 600,000 (roughly $150,000) will be earmarked to the establishment of an “Internet warfare” squad.

Re: Are government agents posing as DP posters?

I retired at the end of 2013.

Congratulations! You are lucky.

I wish I could retire. Seems like it's one thing or another for me. My nine year old son overflowed the toilet in the master bedroom the other evening. Totally ruined the carpet. I may get some tile put in, depending on the cost. How can I retire with such things happening?

Re: Are government agents posing as DP posters?

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that there are posers on this forum. I'm sure that they are on all the forums and tap into the radicals. I know that I have run into at least one paid right-wing radical here.

Re: Are government agents posing as DP posters?

There are more than 17 different Intelligence Agencies and the millions of employees all have to have something to do. Perhaps they participate in hundred of boards and type standard talking points as their prescribed agenda. I remember absolute nonsense when the MH17 propaganda was the hot item. Now that the story is changing and unfolding different than the propaganda, all is quiet.

Behind TV Analysts, Pentagon’s Hidden Hand

In the summer of 2005, the Bush administration confronted a fresh wave of criticism over Guantánamo Bay. The detention center had just been branded “the gulag of our times” by Amnesty International, there were new allegations of abuse from United Nations human rights experts and calls were mounting for its closure.

The administration’s communications experts responded swiftly. Early one Friday morning, they put a group of retired military officers on one of the jets normally used by Vice President Dick Cheney and flew them to Cuba for a carefully orchestrated tour of Guantánamo.

To the public, these men are members of a familiar fraternity, presented tens of thousands of times on television and radio as “military analysts” whose long service has equipped them to give authoritative and unfettered judgments about the most pressing issues of the post-Sept. 11 world.

Hidden behind that appearance of objectivity, though, is a Pentagon information apparatus that has used those analysts in a campaign to generate favorable news coverage of the administration’s wartime performance, an examination by The New York Times has found.

The effort, which began with the buildup to the Iraq war and continues to this day, has sought to exploit ideological and military allegiances, and also a powerful financial dynamic: Most of the analysts have ties to military contractors vested in the very war policies they are asked to assess on air.

Those business relationships are hardly ever disclosed to the viewers, and sometimes not even to the networks themselves. But collectively, the men on the plane and several dozen other military analysts represent more than 150 military contractors either as lobbyists, senior executives, board members or consultants. The companies include defense heavyweights, but also scores of smaller companies, all part of a vast assemblage of contractors scrambling for hundreds of billions in military business generated by the administration’s war on terror. It is a furious competition, one in which inside information and easy access to senior officials are highly prized.

Records and interviews show how the Bush administration has used its control over access and information in an effort to transform the analysts into a kind of media Trojan horse — an instrument intended to shape terrorism coverage from inside the major TV and radio networks.

Analysts have been wooed in hundreds of private briefings with senior military leaders, including officials with significant influence over contracting and budget matters, records show. They have been taken on tours of Iraq and given access to classified intelligence. They have been briefed by officials from the White House, State Department and Justice Department, including Mr. Cheney, Alberto R. Gonzales and Stephen J. Hadley.

In turn, members of this group have echoed administration talking points, sometimes even when they suspected the information was false or inflated. Some analysts acknowledge they suppressed doubts because they feared jeopardizing their access.
...

This is quite a system my friend. Anyone who believes otherwise is mistaken.
