Palcohol (as I just recently found out) is a powdered version of alcohol, that now has full FDA approval and will soon be showing up on shelves across America. It's a powdered version of vodka or rum or other spirits and even mixed drinks and could include sweeteners or other additives.

Everything You Want to Know About Palcohol, the Powdered Alcohol Approved by Feds - ABC News

Some states are set to be against sale of this product but the question is:

Once Palcohol is in the stores, will you buy it and try it? Is this a good idea or bad idea in general? Take the poll.

I can't help but to think of the potential for abuse and/or misuse. Its concentrated so not adding enough water either intentionally or accidentally is inevitable I think. Its powered so its just a natter of time before people are snorting or smoking it. Lastly, I'd like to know if its real dehydrated alcohol or a chemically equivalent synthetic. I'm a little learry, not for myself as I don't drink, but for society.

Does this mean I can make alcoholic cupcakes? Because I will buy it. A lot of it.

the idea of taking lightweight alcohol on wilderness trips is one I support, but this is no solution.

they did not improve on the weight to alcohol ratio I can achieve with a 151 rum substance, so what's the point? they made a lighter weight solution for wine coolers, which is still heavier then what I'm carrying on my back.
