Too late, I've retorted (actually, I tried explaining it as simply as possible). No worries though. I have zero expectations

The real story here is something you just hit upon: weakening the Democratic Party as personified by the figures of the current President of the USA and what is believed to be the eventual nominee in 2016.

The GOP knows darn well that right now Clinton is running ahead of every possible Republican nominee. They also know that despite all they have done in the past six years, the popularity of Obama is at a decent level and is not what they had hoped it would be. This means he could well be a force in the 2016 election and at least half the voters still like him and would listen to his views.

So the entire point of these news stories is to strike now and eliminate Clinton before she can get into a solid position and to weaken Obama so that he sits out the 2016 election and cannot help his party.

That is what this about and make no mistake about it.

Its politics pure and simple in all its naked ugliness.

All you had to do was quote the part you intended to quote which was the thread title - but instead you reproduced a different quote which did not say what you wanted it to say. The fault was not mine in pointing out what you had done.

One can exercise their opposition rights in a responsible manner that would not have been as blatant as this.
When it came to the Iraq invasion what happened to "traditional support for the Nations foreign policy" on the Democratic side?

I can't believe 8 people voted "yes"... (well, 7 actually, 1 guy voted for every option).. seriously.. 7 people think it's treason.... 7...seven.... amazing.

there is nothing illegal, let alone treasonous, about what they did.... period... end of story.

it's been pointed out already, but i have to reiterate that "treason against Obama" is an impossibility.. I think the term Obama supporter are looking for is actually " blasphemy", not treason.

treason is about betraying your country... blasphemy is about showing contempt for your God.

Perhaps you should present the evidence on that issue if you feel it is relevant?

Plus as shown, the democrats have done the same thing in the past, I wonder if they would consider that "Treason"

    Treaty...executive agreement...

However way such negotiations are to ultimately be defined, Senate Republicans still would never have sat by while Senate Democrats pulled such a stunt when Reagan was in office. This clearly shows that this group of Senate Republicans have no respect for President Obama. You may not like the framework of the deal currently in place, but you don't take such a step to undermine the President.

The person he quoted was the person who started this thread

This threads title, created by the person he quoted, is "did GOP senators commit a treason act against Obama and the Country?"

The poll on this thread, created by the person he quoted, is "Did the GOP commit a treason acted, against Obama and the country?"

The poster who's OP rev quoted also voted "yes" in his poll asking if the GOP committed a treasonous act against Obama and the country.

So yes, contrary to your claim that he "NEVER said" what Rev sugggested he claimed, the person he quoted absolutely did say it. They didn't say it in their POST, but they did say it via their thread title and poll that were attached to the OP he quoted.

Good grief. Quoting the OP so he gets the quote notification, and asking him a specific question about the question the OP asked and the entire thread and poll is based on is so common (and understood by most) that you're going to be really busy if that's what you've choose to police here.
