That's one thing that always strikes me about being an American. We know so little about class compared to say, a European who, while not liking class any better, certainly at least acknowledges its existence. Americans have an extreme disdain for notions and realities of class even though class is a much bigger deal in America than Europe ironically.

Wealth in America is far more uneven, even among whites, than it is in Europe. Europeans have much greater wealth equality and because of this truth Europeans are much better at spotting a true rich person than your average American is.

That is true. But I would say that SOME people who possess wealth do not add anything of SUBSTANCE to society either, and are thus net drains on society, in my opinion.

if they aren't costing me money or you money I couldn't care less. People whine all the time about Paris Hilton but Paris Hilton isn't imposing costs on anyone

They are a net drain when they promote values that drag society down.

that's really speculative BS and has no chance of being established with any sort of empirical proof.

Thanks for conceding your argument has no merit. You claim that someone who is wealthy is promoting values that drags society down is nothing more than anti rich envious nonsense that has no proof behind it

you really don't get it. I made a point that rich people who are paying lots of taxes aren't costing us anything. rather than trying to rebut that point, you started whining that their values drags society down which I correctly noted is speculative BS and is based on your subjective opinion which is not able to be proven
