Yes, not only the touching both shoulders but the whispering in her ear both seem too much and she looks very uncomfortable.

I have this need to know what creepy thing he whispered, any word on that?

"Who cares" was my vote. If it upsets the wrong person, and a not so favorable response is shown, then Biden has only himself to blame.

I saw the video. It looked like he kissed her on the side of her head, she half turned, smiled and then he let her go. She didn't look that uncomfortable to me. :shrug:

Unintended creepy though. The woman is Mrs. Ash Carter and the occasion was his swearing in ceremony as Secretary of Defense. Apparently the Bidens and Carters have been in the same social circle for a long time now. Here is another shot at the ceremony and then one of the Bidens and Carters at a holiday occasion last December:

Well the video shows a little more context than just the picture shown. In reality I guess only she could tell us how comfortable she was. Some people don't mind that and some do. I know I get a little uncomfortable when someone else touches me like that, unless it's someone very close to me.

But the scuttlebutt is that the Carters and Bidens are close friends and are frequently seen attending the same parties and other occasions together.

Does she have male friends?

Do you "permit" her to have male friends?

Do you sort of **** yourself and lash out in a blind rage every time one of your wife's male friends gives her a hug, or dances with her, or whispers something in her ear?

That doesn't mean she is comfortable with him touching her. He seems to be the touchy feely type and whether or not she is okay with it or a pushover who puts up with it is not clear and unless she says something about it publicly it's just up for guessing.

The way her head is tilted and her body Lagrange looks like she's uncomfortable, but that's just my take. There's also a video of him leaning into an 11 yo girl to kiss her on the cheek,and her pulling away. I'm sure it's innocent, but his advisors should advise him how it looks.

I was just listening to an NBC audio clip reporting that she was actually asked about it--I can't imagine doing that as a reporter but oh well--and she said she was neither uncomfortable and didn't think anything about it. Joe is that way with everybody.

Don't get me wrong. I've been aware of and watching Joe Biden since the 1970's and was even a fan until he decided to sell out principle for political expediency. He has in the past been known to be a ladies man and didn't exactly follow the customary rules for Catholic courtship when wooing his wives and his many political and social gaffes are legendary. But he has remained pretty scandal free with no rumors of misconduct except for that plagiarism thing in 2008. He is now 72 years old. I don't think Stephanie Carter was uncomfortable in that scene.

Well that clears up the whole debate really. If she is cool with it, then it's all good. I wouldn't be but to each their own.
