Do you support the Special Relationship?

The Special Relationship, according to The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Politics, is "a term used to describe post‐Second World War Anglo‐American relations, characterized by amiable diplomatic, military, economic, and cultural ties. The existence of shared history, language, cultural heritage, and close commercial relations in the pre‐twentieth century significantly facilitated the formation of this relationship."

Do you support the existence of the "Special Relationship" and, if so, do you feel that enough is being done currently to foster stronger relations between the two juggernauts of the Anglosphere?

Of course, it's been a good ride, let's keep it that way.

With that said, all hail the Anglosphere!

We're very sorry about that asshat in the White house who sent back the Churchill bust.

    Relations - with whom?

    Countries, individuals? Vague definition.

And we are also sorry for people who keep misrepresenting what actually happened: Ted Cruz’s claim that one of Obama’s ‘very first acts’ was returning a bust of Churchill - The Washington Post

To sum up, the Churchill bust loaned to Bush was returned, but a virtually similar bust by the same artist resides in White House residence. There is no evidence that Obama personally decided to return the bust; given the economic crisis at the time, one imagines he had bigger issues on his mind. Perhaps someone on his staff should have recognized the symbolic value in retaining the bust, but the odds are the machinery of the transition just moved forward on its own.

One of three countries I would be willing to fight and protect or have my daughter fight and protect under all circumstances. The others being Canada and Australia.

    Now that I'll toast to.

It is certainly not a vague definition.

Obama did send it back but, there's another.
