Have you or a family member benefited from the Affordable Care Act?

On the way home I had a far out experience. I had to stop and pick up some birth control pills. Because of an error, they had not put it on the insurance, so originally they were going to charge me about $125. However, when they realized they needed to put it on my insurance, IT TURNED OUT THE PILLS WERE FREE AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING!!!! MAN WAS I HAPPY!!! The pharmacist informed me that the pills were free because of the Affordable Care Act.

Not only that, but I have a daughter who just got out of grad school. Because of the ACA she is able to be on my insurance until she finds a job. That is a very great benefit for her.

Bottom line is that, I must really thank Obama. He has actually helped me. He actually saved me $125 today!!!

The thing is this, Obama said he wanted to do things to make a difference in the lives of middle class people like me. Man did I really feel it in my pocket. I really had not noticed it before, but Obama has made a difference! I guess this kind of thing would be meaningless to a rich person, but these things actually mean something to me.

    Way to go Barack Obama!!!!!

I still don't take back all the bad stuff I have said about him tho!!!

The taxpayers of the United States say "you're welcome".

Oh, believe me I am a taxpayer. I pay thousands of dollars in income tax every year. One year I paid $20,000, so I don't want to hear that crap.

I am not on obamacare, but my girlfriend is... and she is having a really hard time because of the high deductibles. Every time she goes to the doctor or sees a specialist she has to pay completely out of pocket.... almost impossible for a recent graduate in a research assistant job.

Well, most likely you'll have to pay more in the end than what you actually gained.... I think that's the point really

I don't know what you mean by not on obamacare, but my insurance is through my job. The pills were free because ACA requires insurance to cover them.

Anybody with medical insurance/Medicare/Medicaid is on Obamacare.
I have CDO, it's like OCD but the letters are in alphabetical order like they should be.

I don't know, but my premiums are the same. Some of the coverage is quite a bit different this year tho. Maybe you are right. But today, I really did see savings. I was very very happy about that.

It can be seen that way because, as my example illustrates, it affected me, although I am not on some government health plan. I think that it also requires everyone to have insurance which was a sore point. I have problems with that aspect as well.
