Geezus...I hope my kids don't try that excuse. "But Mom, it made me appear more human!". Then I'd be even madder at the attempt to insult my intelligence on top of the lie.

I was reminded of the same thing. Got me thinking that if America was stupid enough to elect a President Hillary Clinton, good old Bri-Bri would be a great White House Press Secretary, having completely mastered the art of fabrication while keeping a straight face.

Good morning TB - perhaps reassigning him to front line reporting in Syria or Iraq so he could get some real stories to reminisce about.

It seems that folks now insert like into nearly every sentence. "I was like under heavy sniper fire" means that you were in a zone placed under a security alert but were not actually exposed to any gunfire.

How far the society has fallen in their acceptable behavior standards. Really quite amazing and quite disturbing at the same time.

Re: Should Brian Williams be fired

Personally, I'm growing weary of what I call "faux internet outrage". I was not, and am not, aware of the original incident, but I did see his apology last night. For what it was worth, I thought he came off as sincere. I swear we have lost all sense of objective empathy in our society.

But I guess I'm the only one. Which is ok with me, because from what I can tell I have no desire to be part of the "in crowd". My sense of self is not so shallow. Sometimes the majority opinion is indeed correct, but it's surprising how often the minority view is the one that turns out being correct.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.
