The OP's premise aside, this is a completely asinine statement.Of course it isn't. In the grand scheme of things, the only people who think about the color of his skin are those who use it to defend against criticism of a woefully inept President.
The OP's premise aside, this is a completely asinine statement.
It's not even an opinion  Your statement is empirically incorrect. In addition to the fact that many talking heads have attributed Obama's rise to his ethnicity alone, nearly 1 in 10 of RNC primary voters indicated that they would not under any circumstance vote for a black President. Some of the anti colonialist rhetoric also has strong roots in his ethnic background.Thank you for your opinion. Obviously I disagree.
It's not even an opinion  Your statement is empirically incorrect. While the vast majority of those polled indicated that they would, nearly 1 in 10 of RNC primary voters indicated that they would not under any circumstance vote for a black President.
Some Americans Reluctant to Vote for Mormon, 72-Year-Old Presidential Candidates
Maybe. Do you think the rookie senator would have won the election if he were white? Tough question
Nothing to debate. It would appear your agenda is not as easily recognized by you as it is to those witnessing you proving it.
It has been said repeatedly by some over the years that the United States is not ready for a black President. Is the Obama Presidency proof of this?
Palin or Romney would have been head and shoulders above Obama, because Obama wasn't just a let down, he was a total disaster.
Consider what this statement (from your link) actually says:
Why would anyone expect that white guys (about 79% of the US male population) would not be dominant among the NBA coaches and general managers?
Romney, yes.
Palin, I have to disagree. I think she'd be equally as bad as he is, just for different reasons.
I think you're buyong into the propaganda.
Palin or Romney would have been head and shoulders above Obama, because Obama wasn't just a let down, he was a total disaster.
We are going to have to agree to disagree on that one because I do not think that president Romney would have done better than a poorly performing Obama and Palin would have been a grand disaster if she had gotten to the position of president.
Hell no. I voted for McCain and Palin in 2008 and don't regret my vote at all and don't apologize for it. I really liked her.
My issue with her is the way she's handled herself since then. I think she would have been a good VP for McCain, and if doG forbid something happened to him, she would have been okay to step in to the role. She would have immediately gotten good coaches and good handlers. Left to her own devices after 2008, I think the pressure and fame just got to her. Some people get thrust into the limelight too quickly and aren't prepared, and i think that's the case with her. Plus the awful treatment she received left marks on her I think. That isn't her fault.
Unfortumately, you don't have any facts to base your opinion on.
The awful treatment definitely left some marks on her reputation. I don't know of any politician that received that much disgraceful attention. She's been hammered so hard, that even many Conservatives believe the propaganda. I think it boils down to one thing: the Libbos won't allow the Republicans to claim the first female VP/president in history.
Yes, if McCain and Palin were running against him or her. You can't run that poor a campaign and win.
Well, history is on your side. They tried to beat the GOP to the punch in 1984 with Ferraro. That failed (ouch - pretty badly actually). They managed to secure the first black President (Bill Clinton aside, of course). In a perfect world, I suspect they want the first woman whatever too.
It has been said repeatedly by some over the years that the United States is not ready for a black President. Is the Obama Presidency proof of this?
He's acted fairly similarly to George Bush, so if we aren't ready for Obama, we probably aren't ready for any of the Republocrat elite.
No, that's just excuse making.
Not at all. When it comes to excuse making it would seem 9 out of 10 people see it is coming from people who share a similar need to try and deflect criticism of the President.
`
If Obama could walk on water, the political right would say "he can't swim." Why? I look at this this way, Obama is also called "Bush II" or sometimes "Bush Lite." He's more conservative than Bush and had implicitly adopted many Bush policies. Still, the political right hates him. I can only come to one conclusion as to why; Race.
IF you are referring to me, I feel no need to deflect correct criticism of the President or anyone else for that matter. I think your response is designed to deflect legitimate criticism that SOME of Obama's problems as President are the result of him being black, half black if you prefer.
