Well, he didn't fool me. But yes a superior candidate does not equate to a superior officeholder. No greater proof of that fact is there than Obama.

by lack of a better option I voted "no", but I think African American presidential candidates will have it a lot tougher to get even nominated by their party in the future.
Former military man (and now babysitter of Donald Trump) John Kelly, is a big loud lying empty barrel!

No! Obama's presidency proves that America isn't ready for a total ****ing idiot for president.

I voted for my state's "D" governor a few times - while I was casting votes on the same ballot for candidates with an "R" after their names.

Some of us don't like Obama for the same reason some people didn't like Bush 41 and Bush 43 and Reagan and Clinton and Carter and Ford and so on....because we don't like the policies. His color and his party affiliation are irrelevant.

I remember when the left adored Joe Lieberman...until he supported McCain.....then he wasn't election worthy anymore.

The left and the right are pretty dead even here, rocket.
Absolutely it's not just a right wing phenomenon. No question about it. But we both know that there are people who don't like him because he's a Democrat, just like there are some people who don't like him because he's black. It's incredibly dumb to write off all criticism to that, but it's incredibly naive to think that those people don't exist.

Hard working white people? Yeah right. Sounds like a page out of Lee Atwater's book.

I remember the first election being in the barbershop. Guys started talking about all that "messiah" stuff. I could not take it and had to say something. People got mad. So yeah, it's that way.

    Poor Dubya. WOW!

    Here you go

Rep. Lamborn likens Obama to a “tar baby” - Salon.com

Even if some people say “well, the Republicans should have done this, or should have done that,” they will hold the President responsible. Now, I don’t even want to be associated with him, it’s like touching a, a tar baby
And I don't want to hear any "he meant something else" crap.

I find that the two candidates put forward by the major parties just don't do anything for me. Politics has become such a sham, full of deceit and hate mongering.

Obama is anything but an idiot. That said, in my opinion, his instincts are at odds with the current constraints on the position.
