Would Sarah Palin be a better president than Obama?

You're not sticking up for ya Harvard boy?

My brother was first in his class at Harvard (one of the graduate schools) but I never attended Harvard even though I could have

The world of Obama has not gone well.

Obama is probably the most successful president since before Reagan (notice how I said before Reagan). He has played the game fairly well, just not well enough.

So, yes, an unhealthy obsession with a tall, attractive, domineering woman would be necessary to take your mind off the dismal performance of a carnival clown.

I mention Palin like three times in five months and her defenders coming waddling to her defense, getting all in up in my face, telling me how obsessed I am with her. A strong female candidate wouldn't need an offensive defense filled with accusations. Elizabeth Warren doesn't, for example.

You mention Palin's qualities... tall, attractive, domineering... I notice that you didn't say intelligent. Maybe the conservative standards for female political candidates don't require that.

But, to answer your question? I have left over food in my refrigerator that could be a better president than Obama.

Then you also have refrigerator refuse better than the last three or four presidents.

Maybe. But a bowl of wax fruit can't screw up too much, Sarah Palin could screw up much more than any bowl of was fruit.

Could but then I'd have to weigh how much (hypothetically) versus the actual number of screw ups we have currently. I'd still have to give the edge to Palin, though the wax fruit wins over both.

Uh, no.

“Writing paragraphs” means, actually writing your own paragraphs, putting your own thoughts into words. It doesn't mean copying and pasting other people's writings.

um, the point was

copying and pasting the following

but thanks for "playing stupid" on purpose.

This poll is like a litmus test for nutters. It's like having a poll: "Would Lyndon LaRouche have been a better president than Bush?"
When you view it on ideologies and not the persons, it isn't nutty at all. We have had over 6 years of left ideology running the show. Foreign affairs is in the toilet, GDP growth is paltry, more people have dropped out of the workforce than ever before in history. But hey after you lost your job due to the economic downturn, someone in their 50's having a hard time finding work, never fear. They have Obama and Democrats lowering the standards to collect disability to the point one can almost collect it on a hangnail. Less people working, less taxes collected. Wages are stagnant. But when you got anti-capitalists running the show, what should one expect? When you have a leader who is more interested in fulfilling campaign promises to his special interest groups over what is best for the country you end up with sh**. And that is where we are at, a pile of sh**.

As interesting as all of you might find each other to be, the topic of the thread is about Palin, not each other. If you think you are unable to stop discussing each other, then please get out of the thread before a mod does you the service instead.

Q:Would Sarah Palin be a better president than Obama?
A: A bowl of wax fruit would be a better president than Obama.
The problem is, a bowl of wax fruit would also be a better president than Palin.

I already said that in post #54 and #78, but thanks for replying anyway.

If I'm to be honest, there are damned few qualified individuals who would be a worse president than Obama. Palin is definitely one of them. *shudder*

actually Quayle was pretty competent as a senator and not bad VP. He actually had more credentials in 88 than Obama had in 08

I agree with this. If he'd just kept his mouth under control, he wouldn't have been burned to an irredeemable cinder with the "I knew JFK, JKF was a friend of mine, and you, sir, are no JKF."

That's from memory, too lazy to Google, but in my opinion he lost the nomination right then and there.

actually Quayle never ran IIRC for president. that was during the VP debate with Bentsen (sp)

BTW I had a friend who was a big liberal-now a prominent law professor who clerked for A.J. Blackmun. She spent summer working for a liberal senator. She told me that if she ever needed something it was Quayle she talked to. She said he was always among the best prepared senators on any bill or issue and while she disagreed with him on issues like abortion and gun rights, she said the attacks on him were based on lies.

I stand corrected; however, I firmly believe that incident cremated his political career... forever.

Interesting.

Interesting.

what killed Quayle was being on the losing ticket in 92. If Bush I had won re-election, then Quayle would have been the front runner in 96. Of course in some cases, the VP who loses one year has come back and run on the top of the ticket next time out: Mondale being the most prominent example in recent history.

A lot can happen in four years, but that tidbit would have haunted him to his political grave. I voted for Bush/Quayle in '92 btw... I was, like, Clinton who??? ... I really liked and respected Bush Sr. The juniors... not so much.

Greetings, DiAnna. :2wave:

I don't think she's interested in running. Why should she? She gets more attention as a non-candidate than most of those running for office . . . and she's probably laughing all the way to the bank! :lamo:

Not only no, but **** no.

Not only no, but **** no.

but I don't believe you'd support an incredibly qualified brilliant conservative over even a third rate mediocre liberal

and I will admit-I'd support a lightweight like Palin over (I haven't seen any since Cranston) very well qualified lefty because a really smart Liberal is more likely to pass crap I don't want

Oh but no...the Obama heads have her already making speeches!

I hope she does...if only for the knowledge that apoplexy will rule the land of the lost for a long time. I mean she was a figure for a few months and still, to this day, mention her name, create an excuse like this...oops they say she's making speeches already, my bad...but mention her name and they go ape ****...

Hillary the fat wishes she generated such passion......

Look, at her stupidest, she is at least worth looking at...Obama, not so much especially when Michelle or Hillary are in the shot

...maybe, but she is making smaller and smaller deposits at that bank. Interest in Sarah is waning. Her brand is tarnished.

...well, he has issued half as many as Reagan.

It's not about the number as it is about the abuse of power. I can't think of any that Reagan issued that changed existing laws where Obama's have.

Yep, she's got that certain something, and her timing is superb! She'll lay low for a while, but one day she reappears when things get hum-drum, and it's like a match thrown in a can of fuel. I don't know what it is, but it never fails to work, even after years of being out of any political office! And all you have to do is mention her name! Amazing... :lamo:

You would think that would lessen the vitriol she garners from the lefties, wouldn't you?

It will. She was just so much fun for the left. The things she said were comical. We will miss her. I think the only thing the left found annoying about her was while all of us realized the emperor had no clothes, there are a surprising number on the right the failed to see it. That was a bit scary. Its good to see most of those on the right now see her for the buffoon she really is. So, on one hand, I will miss her; on the others, its great to see that America ultimately does the right thing.
