Should Sarah Palin become a member of Congress?

Do you want Sarah Palin to become a member of Congress?

I don't think that reasonable or fair opinions are welcomed on Palin threads. Like Fox News threads, they're a "three-minute hate" thing. ;)

Sarah Palin, for all her flaws, has been an excellent salesperson for the State of Alaska. Most Americans, below the 49th Parallel, haven't a clue about Alaska and Sarah put it on the map and put issues related to Alaska on the agenda. I could see her being a great advocate for her State unlike a lot of Congress critters who get to Washington and forget where they came from.

On the contrary, she is a horrible salesperson for Alaska. Whenever I think of Alaska, I think of Sarah Palin and how horrible the place must be to have birthed such a specimen.

And I'm sure they're delighted you'll never visit. Like I said, she's great for Alaska.

She's great for Alaska if you think like Sarah Palin. Which you apparently do.

What I find interesting about Palin is the Pavlovian response to the mere mention of her name.

`
Considering all the criminals, clowns and trash in Congress, it's scary to think that a Sarah Palin Senator could actually bring their integrity and intelligence up a notch.

Not my decision. It's up to the people of Alaska. If I were an Alaskan I wouldn't vote for her.

`
Sort of like the same response when Obama is mentioned too.

I think they are both equally bad. Quitting because people said mean things about her means that she is spineless and therefore would be a poor president.I do not want my president because the opposite in congress or even some world leaders said some **** about her. If she quit because she could make more money. Then that shows that she is for sale for the highest bidder.Which really isn't any different than any other politician. Then again politicians are supposed to be pretend that they are not for sale to the highest bidder.

Are you insinuating that $arah Palin quit the job that the people of Alaska elected her to do simply because of greed on her part? Surely not. ;)

Sarah Palin has effectively represented the members of her cause.
Weather you agree or disagree with her politics, she does reflect the people she
represents. If she did the same thing in congress, she would be doing her job,
something I am not sure all congressmen can say!

No, she would just end up being another Michele Backmann or Nancy Pelosi. Intentionally polarizing, largely argumentative, ineffective at working with her opposition, and generally a nuisance with little interest in anything other than grabbing as much mic time as possible.

On the other hand, she would then fit in well.

True. But we have to listen to that voice.

Sarah Palin needs to stick to her current job, spreading BS.

It's the one that fits her talents.

That's Nancy's job.
Reps are doing just that, representing the people of their district. So, if Palin were to be elected, she has as much business being in the House as any other Rep.

Yeah, and when I think of San Fransisco, I think of Nancy and cancel the trip.

I don't like quitters. Leaving the Govenorship of Alaska was a bad move in my opinion. Now I cant trust her.

This is a public poll that does not require declaring an ideological loyalty. Do you think Sarah Palin would be a good member of Congress?

Good, I don't know. Entertaining, absolutely.

I'm for her running if she wants the job and winning if that's what the people of her district want.

It doesn't matter what theory you want to believe in why she quit. The fact she quit her term as governor made her a quitter.Someone who can not be trusted to complete her term in office.

I wonder if either of you would apply your same standards to President Obama...you know, the man who quit two (2) government service positions.

I'll admit that, for a lot of people, Obama quitting one more job would be considered a good thing.

How could you agree or disagree with her politics? She doesn't say anything meaningful. All she does is bash the President with her cutesy jokes.

She would represent the constituency who elected her just as good as say
Sheila Jackson Lee represents her constituency.
If she Bashes the President, perhaps that too is representative of her constituency.

She should be a member of Congress if the citizens of the district she would be representing voted for her. Not my call. I wouldn't vote for her. Just like I wouldn't be like the idiotic citizens of Atlanta who keep re-electing a buffoon who thinks Guam is about to capsize, or the citizens of Harlem who keep re-electing a crook, or the morons in inner city Houston who keep re-electing a dumb ass who insists the Constitution is 400 years old.

Sheila's constituents apparently also believe the Constitution is 400 years old.

I'd love to have her run for McCain's seat. It would be worth it just to see the AZGOP soil themselves trying to get rid of her.

Yes it would be a good thing. But then we end up with Uncle Joe.
