Killing 100,000 terrs, at one time, would be a helluva deterrent to future terrorism.

Is that a fantasy you have, or do you have something to back that up?

Total casualties in the Iraq war is estimated at 600,000 with at least 35,000 of them known insurgents. Total number of terrorists / insurgents killed in Afghanistan so far is around 40,000. Do you notice any less terrorists in the world?

6,000 killed in battle doesn't prevent one terrorist attack. Those ISIS fighters aren't terrorists, those two guys who shot up Charlie Hebdo and those two guys who bombed the Boston Marathon were terrorists. That guy who attacked the Canadian Parliament building and those guys who bombed the London subway were terrorists, and whatever happens in Syria or Iraq won't affect those types.
    It's two separate wars.
