They also don't seem to have a 15+ million people problem.... And St. Kitts and Nevis is not issue passports to illegal immigrants, it took me all of five seconds to Google that and find out you have to be a permanent resident a citizen, or married to a citizen to receive one
They have an economic citizenship program. Anyone can purchase citizenship in their country (aside from Iranians, which is entirely due to US pressure).

"The people" is in the Preamble not the Bill of Rights."

The BOR refers to "the people", numerous times. Ironically, "the people" are not mentioned in the preamble to the BOR.

So, they don't offer passports to illegals. You have to buy citizenship first. And this is what you want to do here? Sell citizenships?

Some rights. There are certainly some that are reserved for citizens. However, notably, the Bill of Rights never uses the word citizen. Everyone in this country, regardless of how they came to be there, is protected by the Bill of Rights.

So when We The People established the Constitution, they meant everyone including illegal aliens right? Were they legal in the states too? Because the states preexisted the union.

Do "illegal" aliens have the same rights as citizens?

Its a sad commentary on our times that the question even is asked.

They have the right to get shot when they are sneaking over the fence, but that's about it.

Whether illegal or not, non-citizens by definition have less rights compared to citizens.

How so? And permanent residency is not citizenship.
The most common method is EB-5 visas, although other avenues exist.

And permanent residency leads to citizenship.

I am not proposing this as a solution, mind you. There needs to be a pathway to citizenship for the folks who can't afford it, in my view.

$500,000-1,000,000 in investments in the US.

As little as $500k? I would think they should demand more.

But that still beats the ones who sneak in, steal jobs, exploit the country, and then wait for politicians to manipulate them so they can achieve the same result.

It's around the same as Canada. Although many countries require more. I believe £2,000,000 is the required investment in the UK and AUD$5,000,000 is the required investment in Australia.

No wonder we're giving away our economic advantages. Our salespeople are incompetent!

That's an odd poll question - asking a question of fact in a poll. Instead, I'll answer the question "should" they have the same rights and my answer would be no - to give them the same rights would be to devalue the rights you hold as a legal citizen.

Well illegal aliens are criminals. If it's determined that they are illegal/criminals, they should get the same rights a convicted criminal gets.

How do you determine they are indeed illegal? Court, Right?

The same way you determine they are illegal right now. How do we determine if they are illegal immigrants right now.....?

From a legal standpoint illegal immigrants and immigrants have many but not all the rights of citizens - voting being an obvious one that they don't have. Given that I voted "no".

It's well established via a number of SC rulings that immigrants, legal and otherwise, do have many of the rights that citizens have.
