Malala Yousafzai (Malālah Yūsafzay, Pashto: ملاله یوسفزۍ‎ [məˈlaːlə jusəf ˈzəj];[1] born 12 July 1997)[2][3] is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate.[4] She is known mainly for human rights advocacy for education and for women in her native Swat Valley in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Yousafzai's advocacy has since grown into an international movement.

While religious extremism that endorses a perverse worldview on civil liberties is unfortunately common among Muslims today, it's important to remember that humans in general, wherever they are, a)want to be free to pursue their dreams and a life of their own choosing and, b)want to avoid pain and suffering. It is unfortunately also quite human to oppose those things for other people. Wherever you find one, you will find the other.

Why isn't that 99.9% outraged at but jobs committing murder in the name of Islam?

If I disagree, I'm on the side of the terrorists, 'soft' on Muslims. Every new rightard who signs up here will eventually start a variation of this thread and it soon fills up with the same posters chanting the same mantras. It's gotten old, know what I mean?
Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindu's... which of these religions is oppressing women from wearing what they want, from driving cars, from getting an education? Which is stoning women to death, executing gay people, cutting the hands off of thieves? Which is engaging in terror attacks around the world, suicide bombings and kidnapping whole schools of children?

Sure, there are a lot of great Muslims... but it is not because of Islam. It is because they are free from most of Islam as a culture. When Islam is the culture it is horrible. When Muslims can live in the West, for the great majority... it is positive.

Not making the news does not make one moderate...
