Muslim reaction to Charlie Hebdo terrorism [W:176]

What will happen of 'moderate' muslims?

Because this entire thread is questioning whether the "99.9%" of muslims will soon turn to 80%, then 70%...etc. This is a look into the future. As cited, "moderate" muslim communities have now begun murdering Christians and burning down churches. These are not ISIS terrorists, not Al Qaeda, as CITED, these are "moderate" muslim COMMUNITIES. This thread is to get an idea of how many more "moderates" will begin joining the masses.

Your own source states that "protests were largely peaceful." Therefore, it is not ENTIRE 'MODERATE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES' committing these attacks but a small minority of radicals.

Unfortunately there is some legitimacy to the question. Islam requires conversion by the sword or extreme oppression of people that don't believe in Allah as represented by Mohammed. Muslims who are killing and murdering non-believers are only acting in accordance with their faith. Reasonable people struggle with this concept and it seems to me that the poster is just attempting to understand why moderate Muslims are not standing up against the murderers. Its simple, Islam is not a religion of moderation, it is a religion that demands conversion by the sword. The average Muslim is not standing against the murderers because he is acting in accordance with their faith.

Quit getting so defensive, this was a question and your opinion is noted. My opinion is that more of these muslim communities will grow into extremism. This is living proof. Non-terror networks now becoming terror networks. Is this the beginning of something huge? Only time will tell.

The only problem is generalizations.

Yes there are those that support Islamic extremism and those who condone it. I hate to break it to you but when such overgeneralizations are made such as "All World Muslims kill people today" then even some of us non-religious people that live in majority Muslims countries are categorized without merit into the "murderers" group.

So the question has to be more specific. Muslims in which country? How many within that country committed crimes, etc...

I find it interesting that you blame right wing people for postings of this nature. I think you misunderstand the scope of the frustration. I'm left wing. I think that the NRA are a bunch of gun nuts. I think gays should be allowed to marry. I think free health care should be a right not a privilege and I believe in taxing the **** out of the rich. I also believe that Islam is an angry medieval religion where murder and terrorizing non-believers is acceptable my the majority of the adherents of the faith. I consider this a problem.

They do. Did you know the vast majority of victims of terrorism are Muslim? Did you know they are fighting radical Muslims every single day on the battlefield, in the classrooms, and in the communities?

Not really. The nature of the internet has rendered video and photographic proof largely unreliable. I can demonstrate this if you like by creating a headline that says "Christians riot!" and then hunt for a stock photo or selectively edit a clip of an unruly crowd of Westerners to accompany it. In fact I believe this is how most news works these days.
