My vote is no, of course not. This is the responsibility of the parent/guardian or computer owner, not the government.
Since computers are in our homes and adults must own the utility for internet its thier responsibility. This seems like passing the buck to me.
Same with TV etc. If theres something you dont want your kids to see, dont let them, block it, only allow them to use the PC in a public room, get parent software etc etc

Regulate it in what way? Keeping it illegal for stores to sell porn to minors? Sure. Outlawing it all together? No. Your question is impossibly vague.

Still impossibly vague. I would have no problem with requiring tags to indicate adult content that filter software could catch, or other age verification requirements. I have no problem with requiring models in porn online or otherwise to be 18 +. I would be against outlawing online porn. There is this whole, big, huge area between unregulated and banned.

1.) i dont think so since i didnt ask for how just and regulation to "stop minors from viewing"
2.) this isnt a bad ideas but is it already done now? i mean how does safe search work? it works already somewho and so does parental software, seems this already goes on some how and im fine with that but i admit i dont know how it works
3.) while i agree that has nothing to do with the topic
    4.) i agree
5.) while you are right, again, i didnt ask about the industry. I simply asked about about something way more specific, "regulations to prevent minors from viewing it online"

Seriously, how would the government do that? There's no way to actually accomplish it in any realistic manner. They can't stop online piracy, how the heck do you think they'd ever stop porn?
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Re: Should the government regulate porn to protect minors from viewing it?

No. It's up to the parents to raise their children, not the government. I say no to regulations on porn to stop minors from viewing. Frankly it's not that big of a deal to me anyway. I wouldn't encourage it, but it's a totally natural thing and it's not the end of the world if they happen to stumble across it.

I do, however, obviously, support regulation to prevent minors from being in porn.

I voted no.Because the online porn company has no way of knowing if the person on the other end of the line is 18 or over.Nor am I for internet companies automatically blocking porn sites. It is a dangerous slippery slope that can extend to other things like opposing views, anti-government views and so on.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"
