Should we flood the world with images of Muhammed?

between some 1 who says you deserve to burn for not being in a religion and some one who draws a picture even a rude one of a figure form said religion

I don't think its the artist who is being the most hateful and disrespectful

if drawing Mohamed is wrong then so is any form of Islam with a toast the unbeliever message in fact its worse

of course that applies to other religions as well

so if any 1 wants to draw a cartoon as long as your not telling people to attack or discriminate against Muslims go for it

And what when muslims claim that cartoon is both an attack and discrimination?

Interesting, on one hand we have US Constitution accusing the founding fathers of bringing in class struggle, then we have you pretending to know what I meant by "common people". Your opinions do make me chuckle, guys. :)

Your intent is clear. We've got you buddy. :2wave:

It also has a negative connotation. I prefer "ordinary people." We don't have "commoners" in the U.S.

A post questioning rhetoric and engaging in semantics? I am shocked.

Perhaps you could clear it up.

"The clairvoyant powers that common people attribute to The Founders always make me chuckle."

What do uncommon people like you attribute to The Founders?

A lot of things. The constitution, checks and balances, lack of foresight when it came to the slavery issue. Clairvoyance is definitely not one of them. That's something a common person who thinks they were superheroes of some sort would do. Usually these common people are more interested in rhetoric than, you know, substance.

I see. Well thank you. People in your class are certainly enlightened.

Well, thank you! In turn, I commend you for not engaging in silly crystal ball type of arguments. I mean, it's one thing to claim that the Founders knew that someone with any of our leans would come along. It's another to believe that any use of the term "the common people", is an attempt to bring in "class struggle". I do wonder whether the poster who suggested such a thing even understood what that meant. This discussion has nothing to do with class struggle, so why would he interpret the term common people to be doing just that? His obsession with the term is worrying, to say the least.

Smartest person evar! :doh

You are so on the ball.

If Reagan's issues with alzheimer's taught us anything it was that being on the ball, is much better than not remembering where you put it. :)

Laugh all you can about such a disease, lefty. Its funny, isn't it?

I've seen the dying out of this world. May you never know the mountain battles they fought.

Oh, I'm not laughing at Reagan. I'm just pointing out the obvious. It's definitely better to be on the ball, then off it like he was in his final years. I can imagine him just walking around the house wondering where he put his pictures with dictators. A terrible way to go, I am sure.

So you decided, here and now was the place to disrespect someone about a fatal disease? In this thread and context?
You are indeed a king among men!

Nobody has been insulted. However, even if they had been - why would that bother you? Are you not an advocate for freedom of speech? Why the sudden political correctness? Being PC won't earn you points now. :)

I take care of the sick and injured for a living, king. Life and death isn't PC. I've held them as they die-some are cogent. Dont tell me about PC, dear leader. These are things you will never be able to google.

Reality is real. PC is your innovation, dear leader.

We're all very proud of what you claim on the internet. However, as with most of your contribution to this thread, it's entirely irrelevant to the topic and just another attempt by you to silence any discussion. Your PC stances sway nobody. :)

Reality is real.

This... this is incredible writing. Can I use it as my sig? :)

The tap dance continues, with you spitting on the terminally ill. Will it ever stop, dancer?

That's not entirely true. Again I'll reference the ice bucket challenge. Tell the people with ALS that facebook posts are meaningless.

Social media is rather huge. But I wasn't suggesting that social media be the ONLY source for the protest. Every avenue of the internet could be used, INCLUDING facebook, instagram.....but also printed media and television and everything with a graphic display.

I'm imagining that anywhere somebody turned they would be exposed to a picture (doesn't have to be outwardly hostile) of muhammed. TV, internet, newspaper, magazine, flyer, billboard, advertisement.....

For many private individuals all they could possibly do to "join the process" might be to post something on facebook. So be it.

Maybe everybody who's a member of a forum on the internet uses a muhammed picture for their avatar.

Solidarity among multiple billions. Collectively and simultaneously. Could be very powerful.

Talking people into dumping ice water on their heads isn't exactly the same thing as battling Islamofacism. I'm sure you can appreciate the difference.

Social media gives individuals the opportunity to vent, that's about it. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it but it's use is symbolism, not substance.

Hmmm, interesting use of Alinsky's 5th rule. However, as with most of your other efforts in this thread, and Reagan's mental capacity in his final years, it just isn't enough. Why is it you wish to silence my free speech with your feigned outrage?
