Hmm' those poll results seem very unlikely to me. I wish it had been public. Can nonmembers vote?

It is public, but non-members can vote, and it is pretty obvious that someone has been taking advantage of this to screw with the poll.

Of the sixty-two votes cast so far in favor of allowing churches to be forced to perform immoral homosexual mockeries of weddings, only one is from an actual member, and he has stated that it was cast accidentally.

All the others are bogus “guest” votes, cast while not logged in, and almost certainly all cast by the same person, for the purpose of messing up this poll.

Churches....no. Businesses trying to masquerade as churches or businesses hiding behind religion and trying to use it as a shield.....absolutely not.

I always ask those types, please provide an example of where Jesus condemned homosexuality. He did not.

It will require erasing the 1st ammendment so I doubt this will come to pass.

Never heard it put that way before, but quite true.

Churches should not. Forcing a church to would most likely be unconstitutional.

Is there actually any push anywhere in the US for government to make churches perform marriages for gays?

Since no fine has been levied yet, the closing of the storefront bakery was not because of the fine. The closing of the storefront was because of lack of business after their practices came to light. They closed the storefront in September 2014, but the last I heard the hearing was scheduled for October 2014 (just a couple of months ago). I haven't seen anything resulting from that hearing or if a fine had even been imposed.

There seem to have been a number of cases now that have threatened prison to levying fines. The $13.000 fine against the Giffords and their farmhouse venue was probably the stiffest, though the threat of prison seems heavy. In any event the idea of forcing people against their conscientious objection to cater a gay wedding seems rather over the top, when compared to letting people off defending society.
