    Absolutely not.

Neither should a Doctor be forced to perform abortions.

Slavery is dead. If my job asks me to perform a task, any task, that I don't want to perform, they can fire me, but they can't make me do it.

And if I own the company, or I am the boss, and I don't want to do it, then they can kiss my ass.

I may be pro-gay rights but I also stand for the rights of others, just the same.

What language was that in? It resembles English, but doesn't seem to mean anything when I try to parse it as such.

Social norms help dictate who gets the blessing of a Church. If same sex marriages and relationships become more of the accepted (rather than tolerated) norm, you will more likely see more religious institutions wed same sex partners.

I think someone is messing with the vote. I cant believe that 5 right leaning people voted yes and dont believe that 6 left leaning people did. Until I just voted, there were exactly the same number of yes's as no's. I just dont believe that that happened without someone messing with it.

Particularly in right leaning threads this has been an issue. Non-forumites can vote in public polls, and some appear to be hacking in or using different IP's to do just this. The mods know, but apparently can't do anything because the owners of this site want this function.

I used to make polls private but then we had lefties voting to throw off polls as well. Now I just ignore everyone but forumites when viewing the results.

This is a stupid poll. Churches make money on weddings. There will never be any shortages of churches that WANT to marry gays AND no couple in their right mind would want to marry in a church that was forced to perform the ceremony. A reverse shotgun wedding is right out of Monty Python... but I guess we should consider the source of this poll.

So your premise is Church's aren't in it for the religion but rather to make money?

That would be a symptom of a church that worships Mammon instead of God. The faithful should be very wary of any such churches.
