Well, since I've never heard of "Alan Dershowitz" before, I guess that's a no.

Re: Does Alan Dershowitz protest too much?

Evidently a former boyfriend of Roberts has supported her claims, at least in regards to Prince Andrew.

Virginia Roberts' ex-lover claims she never said anything good about Prince Andrew | Daily Mail Online

    Here's another pic of Roberts

Prince Andrew's alleged under-age sex slave told how the duke 'didn't act very royally' around her, an ex-boyfriend has claimed.

Anthony Figueroa claimed Virginia Roberts never said anything good about the Duke of York, adding that she felt pressure to sleep with him from paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The barman, now 32, who dated Miss Roberts at the time, when she was 17, said: 'She said she was scared because she didn't know how angry Jeffrey would get.

'When it came to the Prince, I didn't hear anything good. She said he wasn't acting very royally.'

In an interview with The Sun, Mr Figueroa claimed Miss Roberts called him from a mansion suggesting that Epstein was pressuring her into having sex with Andrew.

He said: 'He (Epstein) was being really pushy. She asked "How do you feel about it?" And I was like "Well obviously you know how I feel about it".'

Look that part up yourself. When doing so keep in mind you had at least 2 threads, that I know of, where you tried to link what was happening with Dershowitz to other conditions using race as the factor of comparison.

You forgot to add that I was successful. I stepped out to do some other things, and before I could respond to some of the objections by you and others, the last one was gone.

Don't feel like looking it up. Maybe when I am in the mood.

You and others raised some good points. It made me have to clarify my thinking. That is the good thing about doing things like this. That said I think what I posted here is valid:

Interestingly, Breitbart News has enthusiastically supported the innocence of Alan Dershowitz

    Dershowitz Is Innocent

    .............
But you do not need to know–or even like–Dershowitz to be convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that he is not guilty of the terrible crime of which he has accused in this tabloid scandal.

Re: Does Alan Dershowitz protest too much?

One prominent rabbi has called on Jewish people to defend Dershowitz. Are they heeding the call?

Rabbi Shmuley Calls All Jews To Defend Alan Dershowitz | The Daily Caller

abbi Shmuley Boteach, who is boldly hailed as “the most famous Rabbi in America, is calling on Jews to defend lawyer Alan Dershowitz against accusations that he sexually assaulted an underage girl. He was named in a lawsuit in conjunction with Prince Andrew and one of his former clients, New York money manager Jeffrey Epstein. The woman, Virginia Roberts, is now 30. She was 17 when the alleged sex acts occurred.

Shmuley asks, “Where are the Jewish leaders to rise to Dershowitz’s defense? He deserves our support. He deserves our solidarity. And he deserves our voice. You simply can’t have a situation where an individual spends his life defending his people and when he himself comes under attack he is abandoned.”

Re: Does Alan Dershowitz protest too much?

    Here's the rabbi's piece

Rabbi Shmuley: Where are the Jews to Defend Alan Dershowitz? | New York Observer

For decades, Israel has found its most eloquent defender in Alan Dershowitz. It’s not only that he has the highest credibility as a world-renowned Harvard law professor and one of the great criminal defense attorneys—perhaps the greatest—of his generation. It’s also that he is just so good at being Israel’s advocate.
    .....................
There is no way any of us can know if any of this is true. But I believe Mr. Dershowitz, and not just because he denies it. Rather, it would seem that if any of this happened the woman in question would seek criminal charges against Mr. Dershowitz, or at the very least civil damages.

She has not. Rather, she has implicated him in a civil suit against someone else.

We are all mindful of women who are victims of sexual crimes and they must, of course, be protected. But the reputations of individuals who have devoted their lives to the greater good deserve consideration as well.

But establishing the truthfulness of these allegations is not the purpose of this column. Rather my purpose is to ask, Where are the Jewish leaders to rise to Mr. Dershowitz’s defense?
    ......................
I have always wondered at the Jewish community in times of scandal. We run from it like the plague.

Have we Jews not forgotten what we have traditionally been accused of? Killing God. Drinking the blood of Christian children. Poisoning the wells of Europe and starting the Bubonic plague. Funding and fomenting Europe’s wars for profit. Being complicit in our own annihilation in the Holocaust. Harvesting the organs of Palestinians. And, most recently, perpetrating a genocide of the Palestinian people.
    .........................
I would like to believe that, at the very least, what Alan Dershowitz deserves is the gratitude of his community. And that means that you stand up for a man when he is down, especially when not a shred of evidence has been brought against him.

You simply can’t have a situation where an individual spends his life defending his people and then when he himself comes under attack he is abandoned. That response lacks gratitude, it lacks integrity, it lacks decency, and it lacks values.
    ...............
I wonder if the rabbi considered what happens if the allegations turn out to be true.

Just as this thread will probably soon be. No, you weren't successful. If you continue to try to draw comparisons between liberal Jewish lawyers who have been accused but not convicted and NFL players who have been and whose video tapes have been seen by millions, you are going to continue to be unsuccessful because apples still aren't oranges.
