Why? The part you continually ignore is the NFL hold the players to a different standard than those in the legal profession. I am not arguing about which is better, just pointing out there are differences because different parties control these things. The process, and even conditions, to be suspended from the NFL is entirely different than dealing with someone in the legal profession for similar claims made against someone. It is almost like you are asking for public opinion to trump these things, only offering that they are "role models" (for the purposes of disclosure, Mildsteel made that claim in a different thread on this same subject.)

My real question to you is who should be making these universal standards on holding someone accountable to a profession before being found guilty of a crime?

No charges, just allegations. If charged he will have his day in court.
A fair trial is covered in the US Constitution.
Anyone for any reason can make allegations.
In Canada 1 way to block a libel case is to lay these allegations in a private lawsuit. No idea if it is the same in the US? Anyone know the answer??
He would / could be, if not convicted be subjected to disciplinary action by whatever bar society he is a member of.
That would be dependent upon what came out in court.

The average person has a dislike for some cases lawyers take on.
That said. That all falls to the wayside when you need one.

This is the important stuff. We canít get lost in discrimination. We canít get lost in B.S. We canít get lost tearing each other down. I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. This is our commonwealth of Virginia, too.
