I have never heard anyone on this forum, other than myself admit to having read Obama's book on his earlier life pre-Presidency.

So have you actually read it cover to cover? Not just what you've heard about it on Fox News blurbs?

EDIT: For some reason this didn't take me to the poll section...

I've only read Barak's racist and supremacist quotes from it.

I've also not read Hillary's "It takes a Village."

All are not the same as "Profiles in Courage."

I have not read any of his or his wife's literature. I'm not a big biography guy anyway.

I think the vast majority of folks don't read it. They buy it so that they can have it be seen on their bookshelves.

Why would I want to read something written by an arrogant pathological liar? Obama's been caught lying more times than I can count.

I think someone on this forum struggled to count six lies, the biggest lie being that you get to keep your health insurance (which was actually the doing of the health insurance companies trying to meet the new minimum standards for coverage).

That's hardly pathological, especially when compared to previous presidents.

Lol, here's four pages from that conservative stalwart "Politifact".

"Lean: Very Liberal". I shouldn't begin a debate with you. I don't like extremists on either side. You guys just defend your politician to the death, no matter how horrible they are. You ignore the bad. Best of luck on your future endeavors though.

Why are you here if you don't want to debate people with opposing opinions? By the way, Obama is a moderate centrist, like you claim to be. If you think he's a liberal extremists, you're nowhere near a moderate.

I've read some of the linguistic analyses of Dreams From My Father. ;)

Only someone to the left of Chairman Mao would think that. You do realize this isn't Europe, right? Just checking.

I never said Obama was very liberal. I said you are. We never brought up his political affiliations. Can you quote me where I said that? It's the liberal extremists who defend him. Same as Cons to Bush.

That one went way over your head, didn't it. Lol, best of luck pal.

It has absolutely NO appeal for me. First, the title is meaningless, ..."dreams FROM my father...?

Second, too many contenders write books...my first was Kennedy's "Advise and Consent" a boring, lugubrious affair seemingly intended to make Jack look like a brilliant lawmaker instead of a spoiled playboy. They are usually no more than brag sheets.

I tend not to read autobiographies at all, and read biographies instead.

The rushes published in the media were boring and showed me enough; Obama uses the word "I" far too much, misleads, over sells himself and is the biggest egotist I've experienced through 12 presidents. Why would anyone read more boasting and self promotion?

Some people have heard of Gitmo. Obviously you haven't.

He also said he would create a government civil works force that matched the size of the military.

I think he is saying there is a difference between debate with an open-minded individual and debate with a pull-string doll.

I never said you said that. Can you quote where I said that you did? You came at me as though I was defending Obama because his politics coincide with my own. They don't. He's a centrist, I'm a 'very liberal'.

You don't want to debate with a 'very liberal', and you can't handle an opposing viewpoint. Good luck, mate.

There is no debating you. You will defend Obama to the death. It's not a debate, it's boring.

I'm afraid you're mistaken if you think that moderates have a lock on rationality or open-mindedness.

No, this is you whining and committing logical fallacies. You don't know me from a hole in the ground. Enjoy the debate forums.

Anyone that proposed to "fundamentally change America". Is a liberal extremist.

No, a liberal extremist would be someone who embraces and pushes liberal policies. Obama has pushed centrist-left policies domestically, and center-right polices militarily.

An attempt at a witty straw man argument - how original of you. Shall I pull that string again and see if something new comes out?

There's nothing personal here. Some people on this site are incredibly boring and meaningless to debate with. Others aren't. Just because you believe strongly one way or the other doesn't automatically grant you that status, but the percentages are greater the further from the middle you get.

What strawman argument? Do you even know what a strawman is? I would suggest you drop the attacks and deliver a point, if you have one.

I would just like to point out how amusing it is that people think they're being 'moderate' or 'non-partisan' by hating on Bush and Obama equally. Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Bush led you into war under false pretenses, Obama gave you health insurance coverage. If you think they're equally bad presidents, you're not a moderate under any theory.
