You might want to take a look at my posting history before you go accusing people of things they are not.

You might want to look at your own posting history. You proudly exclaimed "Wow someone who actually read it!!!! YAY!!!!", when someone else had already said they read the book. The trouble was, they said the book sucked. Why didn't you respond to them?

So have you actually read it cover to cover? Not just what you've heard about it on Fox News blurbs?

EDIT: For some reason this didn't take me to the poll section...
I have neither read it nor really paid any attention to news coverage about it in part or whole.

In fact I did not even recall that it existed until I saw the thread title.

Thinking about it now though, I believe I did hear a couple conservative radio talk show hosts mention it in negative light...I think comparisons to Mein Kampf were made once or twice? As in, it's the same as, or some ****.

I chocked that up to hyperbole, and basically disregarded it.

I read Obama's book. Never said I loved it. I didn't hate it or compare it to the communist manifesto either. I just am aware that the writer's voice can be heard in it. Whether it is Obama's voice, or someone else's that is up to the reader to decide. That particular reader thought it sucked. Who am I to argue? Honestly though, I did not see that post, when I replied to the other one.

Personally I do not care for what Obama did as a child or before he became president. He is not that interesting. He was the best choice at the moment (according to me), not a good choice but still a better one than McCain/Palin combination. Now with someone else than Palin I would have erred on the side of caution and said that from a political view he would have been the safer choice (even though Obama had the emotion angle locked up as being the first African American president).

But as a whole? No, I do not think the man is that much of an inspirational person that I want to read a book by his hand. I would much rather read a good Stephen King book or a Harry Potter book, much better reading I think
I am with Jake Tapper, you have to be a jerk or an idiot to refer to John McCain as "Songbird John"!!!!!!

I don't know the whole "raised by Commies" to become first POTUS who actually hates this country while intending to totally reshape it, is some interesting material.

I just noticed something kinda screwy...if we're talking "have you read", "read" is pronounced one way...but if we're talking "did you read", it's pronounced another way.

    Same spelling though...

I noticed that as I typed the question. Good catch!

I dont understand how anyone could think the book was ghostwritten. Who would ghostwrite a book for an unknown? And why? And who would pay both of them for it when they could just pay the ghostwriter?
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.
