No not at all.

I just don't think a bunch of Joe Bob's with HS educations running around with handguns and a 5th grade sense of justice is a good thing.

I own guns in case someone like you gets in a position of power and decides anyone who isn't a starbucks swilling liberal is an "idiot" and needs to be forcibly disarmed.

Okay, so you don't think that you have a right to choose whether or not your neighbor can carry a gun to protect herself.

I understand that you are bigoted against "Joe Bobs", but I'm glad that you don't think that your narrow mindedness gives you some kind of right to choose whether or not your neighbor may or may not carry her gun for self-protection.

In other words you are like lots of rich liberal elitist gun banners. You don't trust anyone who isn't a rich elite yuppie. You look down on the blue collar workers, the common man etc. Liberals are all for the "common man" at least they pretend to be but when you cut away the BS facade-what we see is seething elitism and a total disdain for the poor or lower middle classes. its like assholes like Cuomo wanting to disarm the masses while he is protected by heavily armed guards

My guess would be #2. In fact, I suspect one specific individual. I wonder if the mods have access to any such data as the IP addresses from which all the fraudulent “guest” votes were cast?

We see the negative stories all the time, but its is much harder to measure successes of owning a gun. Millions of Americans own guns, and responsibly own them.

How is that? the only people we hurt by being armed are the criminals we apprehend, wound or kill with our firearms

80% of US suicides are by gun, but not necessarily by the owner.

In gun households with children who where forbidden access to them, 22% of the kids admitted to having handled them, unknown to the parents.

and Japan's suicide rate is much higher and they don't have any legal handguns

so My attitude is who cares? I'd rather have someone shoot themselves than do what that transgendered kid did a couple miles from my house-walk in front of a semi on an interstate. not only did the suicide die, she could have killed others if the truck lost control and there now is an innocent truck driver who is blameless but will spend the rest of his life knowing he killed some kid. If she had ate a gun in her bathroom it would have been better than what she did

He's on the side of criminals. I guess he figures that anyone who is able to make an honest living is “The Wealthy”, and defines “the poor and middle class” as those who make their living through robbery.

It looks like all the choices have been spamed. How in hell does somebody do that? I would think that only one vote per ip would be allowed.

Maybe I should have put the poll in the Gun forum, that way only members of DP could vote.
 
It does seem rather unlikely that a thousand people all suddenly showed up and voted the same way. Not sure what they think they are accomplishing.
