Actually, the guns that are the subject of this thread, for self defense, are meant to save lives. But I'm not surprised you cannot tell the difference.

Clearly, two year olds make you less safe [/pbaurer_logic]
Nope, that's your logic, not mine Zyp.

That might be true, but all too often they kill innocent people.

That may be true, but more often they protect innocent people. Nothing is without risk to innocent people. Why do you want to deny people the right of self preservation?

I am not denying anything countryboy, she had a perfect to to own that gun and I support that. She was described as a responsible gun owner. I think this nation is gun crazy, it a sad state when people think they have to carry gun in order to feel safe. Far too many people in this nation own guns in my opinion.

are you now arguing that the gun in question was meant to be used by a 2 year old to kill the mother?

I find that impossible to believe.

She may have been described as a "responsible gun owner", but the incident proves that she ultimately wasn't.

I apologize if I mistook you for a gun grabber. Glad you support the 2A.

I don't own a gun but it's a strange question to ask. Who would own a gun and say it makes them feel less safe?

There are unintended consequences with things that may improve/protect quality of life that can be damaging without knowledge. I could own a cooker which I presume kills pathogens on the food I eat and improve the taste. But I could be ignorant and get a takeaway chicken one night and poorly reheat the leftovers later that week. I could die from that basic ignorance.

Don't own something you feel you can't use responsibly.

is that an oblique way of saying gun haters are all leftwing atheists?
