Neither. It doesn't make you significantly more or less safe.

If she had not taken her two year old to Walmart with her she would be alive today as well

Clearly, two year olds make you less safe [/pbaurer_logic]

Yep, and if folks didn't drive (or ride in) vehicles then they wouldn't die in traffic accidents. That incident was caused by careless handling leading to an accident. The very reason that gun accident story made the news was because it was so rare - unlike traffic accidents which are so common that they are not often even considered news.

its like a snake bit kit or a defibrillator. If you know how to use one, it can save your life

its like a motorcycle or a pair of skis or scuba gear-if you are trained, guns are great recreational tools

if you are ignorant, stupid and don't get instruction it like all of the above, can seriously hurt you or kill you

I train all the time. I constantly take refresher courses with top professionals. I teach people from beginners to master class competitive shooters and police/military. So I say it makes ME safer

If you're a responsible gun owner, I'd says it's likely to make you as safe to more safe

If you're an irresponsible gun owner,, I'd say it's likely to make you less safe to about as safe.

And by safe I'm talking about being physically injured or killed, having your person or home robbed/stolen from, or feeling emotionally threatened or in danger.

She is safely in the arms of her loving God as only gun owners go to heaven.

Airbags are meant to save lives, guns are meant to kill.

The lady who was killed by her two year old son, was gun enthusiast.
