This scenario has been repeated so many times that the CIA actually teaches it in a special school, the notorious "School of the Americas." (It opened in Panama but later moved to Fort Benning, Georgia.) Critics have nicknamed it the "School of the Dictators" and "School of the Assassins." Here, the CIA trains Latin American military officers how to conduct coups, including the use of interrogation, torture and murder.

It doesn't read like torture is a recent CIA policy, but an enduring policy.

There doesn't seem to be much control over CIA activities.

Do we need the CIA?

Is the CIA involved in Economic Sabotage by manipulating markets?

Does the CIA work for the people or CORPORATE America?

Is it OK for the CIA to lie to Congress?

Is it OK for the CIA to infiltrate our "FREE PRESS?"(sarcasm, you get what you pay for)

You are the best at finding obscure websites that talk about what you want to! Congrats, I wouldn't even be able to find these sites even if I tried. Good food for thought, but it's hardly a reasonable request or seriously being discussed. For the record I voted no.

The CIA publicly admitted to drug dealing (cocaine) in Los Angeles.
The CIA publicly admitted to arms sales to Iran to fund weapons sale to Contras (Drug dealers) in Nicaragua.
The author was kind enough to omit such things in the timeline. I think he was corrupted by the CIA to
edit the real evil from the timeline, eh?

I've heard this on and off over the years. You have a link for that one? Yes, I skimmed the OP's article reference, and only got a passing reference to Noriega selling coke. Maybe I missed it? And since when is a blogger's page, as crude as it is, considered a reliable source. You can from a bloggers page for just about anything.

Yes Google it and what you get is a bunch of CT sites as well as all the links that show Gary Webb did little more than make up a story.

Can you link to the CIA admitting that covert campaign or should we just take your word for it.

Why are you so scared to prove any of your claims. If you have such proof it should be pretty easy.

Typical CT poster tons of vague claims and the only proof they ever provide is links to other CT sites. Asking others to prove them wrong is another well known CT tactic. Do you guys follow some guide or something.

"Nice" and "flawless" covert activities isn't ALWAYS possible and in any organization there will be loose cannons on the deck. What the CIA does is MASSIVE. It is THE information source about the entire world. They translate foreign newspapers and news broadcasts. They keep up with what other governments are doing, how their economies are going, what is happening all over the world. Everyday and night. It is a HUGE undertaking and the MAJORITY of what the CIA does.

If President Obama wants to know what is happening for any reason anywhere, it is the CIA that is his source.

Shutting that down is an absurd proposition. What is the President and Congress supposed to do, Google it? Google every county in the world every day and read blogs? Watch FOX and CNN continuously?

What Dave never does is post an unkind word about Putin or Russia in his messages. They are perfection. Their covert activities pure. Their intelligence activities perfectly nice.

The CIA is a necessity, period. If there is misconduct it needs to be addressed and solved.
