If it comes down to Bush vs. Clinton, Gary Johnson will probably get my vote again.

I like Jon Huntsman a lot. I made a contribution to his campaign back in 2012 as soon as he announced he was running. I think a Jon Huntsman presidency with a Democratic controlled senate and a Republican house would be the best thing for this country in 2016. However, the problem Jon Huntsman has is that while he is solidly fiscally conservative, he is moderate in his tone, not a bomb thrower, doesn't get into culture wars, and frankly is just not near crazy enough for today's Republican Primary base, thus he has little chance of ever winning the nomination.

I don't see why we can't vote third party in a poll when we have the option to do so IRL.
Social democrat is no longer an accurate description of my views.

If that is the choice Jeb for sure. Hillary is too old, too corrupt, and too shrill. Plus she'd appoint more man hating lefty lesbians to the supreme court which is not what the country needs right now

Screwed up on the poll question......To much Christmas punch..........Can any Mod help and make the correction?

    Thank you

One of Hillary's biggest assets is her name, OTOH one of Jeb's biggest problems is his name.

If he could hide his brother good enough he might win, but American voters aren't going to forget what the G.W. Bush mis-administration did to the USA.

Re: Jeb or Hillary for president in 2016?

    Jeb Bush's background?

He was born rich - oil - and went to UT Austin gaining a bachelor's degree in Latin studies. That is he total level of education. From there, his money got him into banking.

He moved to Florida, and the money and influence of his family got him appointed Secretary of Commerce - having no credentials for it whatsoever.

He quit after a couple of years to be a paid staffer in George W. Bush's campaign in 1988. He ran for Governor of Florida in 1994 - and lost.

With the vast boom of old folks rushing to Florida and bringing their money with him, he won the next time, then was re-elected again. As governor, he turned the schools over to federal control, essentially turned Miami into an immigrant safe-haven, pursued environmental topics and eliminated some business taxes. He blocked high speed rail along the East Coast into Florida. Money was pouring in to Florida with the influx of retirees moving here and the state budget was good.

He is most known for the Terry Schiavo matter. The Terri Schiavo case involving a woman with massive brain damage, who was on a feeding tube for over 15 years, and whose husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, wished to remove the tube. 5 medical experts said her brain was dead and gone, her body rotting away. The court ruled the husband had the decision noting 15 years had passed.

Sean Hannity of FOX went on the warpath every day. After the Court ruling, Jeb Bush got "Terri's Law" passed by the Florida legislature - someone comparing it to the abortion topic, AKA "JEB BUSH IS THE GOD OVER LIFE AND DEATH law." The State Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. The autopsy showed that Bush's one expert was a liar, Shiavo's brain was literally over half gone having dissolved away, her bones dissolving.

After 2 terms it was over for Jeb as governor. So he was back to living on his money.

He will run for president and the powers-that-be will do all they can to get him the nomination. This assures they can not lose the general election regardless of who wins. While his running all but assures a Republican defeat, what does he care? The campaign will set him up perfectly for a run for the US Senate for which then he'd be a shoe-in.

Every conservative commentator has blasts Jeb Bush for years, but money talks.

The only problem with your scenario he has zero chance of winning the nomination.
