You know full well, they will call her a Communist, a Marxist, a Fascist and everything else under the sun.

Yes. It is only communism if you do not like what she says. When you do like it, it is common sense.

The absolute last thing this country needs is another liberal law professor.

If it's possible for a second rate community organizer with zero experience in politics to fool a nation, I suppose you could run a ****ing corpse and with the right ad men, get it elected

Assuming she ran, and won the nomination it would depend entirely on who she ran against in the general election. Could she win? Yes, but she would need help.

She could win the general election given the right opponent. Winning the primary will be tough though. She has made too many enemies in the banking and corporate sector. They will make sure her opponents are flush with cash.

Your fellow Liberals. See that?

Your fellow Liberals.
Your fellow Liberals.

You know...your fellow Liberals. Them guys. It's up to them if she can win.
I disagree, a good part of the electorate doesn't identify to particular ideology.

probably not. and neither, unfortunately, could Bernie Sanders. and if some perfect storm happened and either of them was elected president, our gerrymandered political ecosystem would produce a congress that would ensure that nothing gets done other than legislative constipation.

I voted Other, as in I sure hope we wouldn't, but hey, we have voters in this country who can't figure out how to use a ballot correctly.

she can't win in the primaries, let alone the general.

if she drastically and substantially changes her messages, she might have a shot... but that is unlikely to happen

Considering the current sad lot of GOP front-runners, I think anyone could win against them.

It's possible but she's got problems. Barring a dramatic turn in electoral politics, you have a dominant Republican presence across the country and an exhausted Democratic Party that is increasingly becoming unsure of itself. Most of this is a natural drain on any party who has held executive office for two terms, some of it is developing internal party rifts. Her other problem is a displayed weakness in being able to cope with this political opposition having solid majorities.

That being said, Warren hasn't done anything dramatically bad like any previous primary contenders and has a growing following.

If you believe being ideological leads to electoral victory in the face of a rapidly growing and competent opposition, you will think this helps you.

I say, however, that Republicans who were angry at McCain for supposedly being too weak of a conservative were deluding themselves with the idea that they could win by being more ideological under conditions Democrats now find themselves in.

But you know, liberals have as much difficulty with reality as conservatives.

It's a moot question. She isn't going to run. she has stated that emphatically many times.

And I think she's way too left leaning for the moderates. She's like Sarah Palin, only tipping the opposite direction and not as attractive.

We certainly know her from her policies and positions, but until (if) she goes into campaign mode it's probably too early to tell how she'll appeal to the middle. Outside of campaign mode she's obviously not currently a contender.

With any luck, moderates will remember that they're electing a President and not Miss America during the swimsuit competition.

If we assume that she is the Democrat's nominee, then she'll get all the liberals/progressives/Democrats to vote for her and all the conservatives/libertarians/Republicans to vote against her. That leaves all the fence-sitting moderates and self-proclaimed independents. Now this bunch already got burned when they got sucked in by Obama. Does anyone really think they'll let themselves get sucked in again...by another left-wing Democrat?

I don't think so.

As a matter of fact, ANY Democratic nominee will run into this same problem. That's why the Republicans are going to win the 2016 Presidential election.

There isn't a lot of data to determine that. Moderates voted for Obama. They apparently forgot they were electing a President and not a rock star.

I saw a clip last night of Sakajawea herself running that line about "you didn't earn that".
I don't know if Barry got it from her or she got it from Barry but it speaks volumes about what you'd be getting with her.
I also know it shows how crappy a candidate Hillary is when she tried to do her version a short time ago.
Man, that simply did not work.

If her opponent is either Santorum or Perry, then yes. But I don't think that will happen.

^^^ This. I think it would depend on who the GOP runs as to whether or not Warren could win. Personally, I don't think she's ready to run a country.
