I see us moving more toward mediocrity, self-indulgence, and collective insanity. I suspect that we will eventually have a slow decline, hit bottom, then bounce back through much pain and hard work. We have the best and the worst of everything.

It is gonna be like, totally awesome, dude!

Probably a lot of the above. Just in the last 20 years, we've developed, collapsed, developed, moved to right, moved to the left (Not socialism left, but liberal left), conducted wars, etc.

I can't imagine any respectable economist thinking America can just increase the debt without anything actually backfiring. The debt levels are seriously so huge we need to end the debt before there is a major economic meltdown

I voted for all the poll options. .

Good job, JB.
This will work out well for you in the future.
Whatever occurs, you can always say..."I predicted this would happen....."

l dont know what you mean

Trying to make me break the Vegas rule, eh? I'm smarter than that! Unless referring to the Vegas rule is, by extent, referring to the part of the forum we aren't allowed to speak of outside of that part of the forum. Oh well. I give up on you and your goldfish-like memory.

Why thank you, man of radio. I also predict that your prediction about my prediction will come true, predictably.

l warn you to stop trolling and attacking me........

If things continue on the current trend, with more jobs being automated and the wealth being concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, revolution will be inevitable. I don't think it will happen in the next couple decades though.

Stick with me kid.
You've got a heckuva a chance to become a cable news pundit.
Fox, MSNBC, CNN......it doesn't matter......your track record of correct prognostications---as seen on this thread---will appeal to all possible media outlets.
We may have to change your name, though.
Jesse sounds a little immature.....
Maybe change it to John?......naw, that too close to John Wilkes Booth.
James might work......James Booth?.....maybe, although you might be tarred by the Jesse James connection....
I'll work on it.;)

Wouldn't the immaturity be an asset for the reporting business?;)

Well....for reporting...yes.
However, because your future is in punditry, it's important to appear wise and learned.
Smoking a pipe on the cover of your books---a TOBACCO pipe---helps with the all important gravitas factor.
Practice saying...."Harrumphh"....and "My sources tell me...."

An at times unsteady but generally positive upward trajectory in terms of economic growth, technological development, and improving society. Occasionally punctuated by crisis. Those who preach doom and gloom generally shouldn't be paid much attention.
