I'm convinced Dave Fagan has dreams where oil companies in human form beat him to death with sacks full of fiat dollars and then rob him of his gold.

This is hilarious you bring up Libya. You do realize that BP signed a deal with Libya's leader (not going to butcher his name) for "OIL" right? We didn't need to go to war for "OIL". What a joke.

Also, I like how you just gloss over the fact that Egypt for a time wasn't ruled by an ally of the US. So I assume you admit then that Egypt wasn't carried out by CIA moles?

I admit no such thing. Quoth Hilary, "we came, we saw, he's dead," when asked about Libya. You don't seem to remember the signature flags being waved around before we bombed the crap out of a Nation that was an example for all of Africa. The USA is and was wrong, morally and ethically, to have bombed a Nation that was no threat to us, once again. The reason we bombed them is because Qaddaffi was teaching Africans how to develop their own resources without Western hegemony. BP is a British corporation, don't ya' know?

You did say "Western Corporations" in your previous post. Great Britain is part of the west, don't ya know?

And besides, that's not the reason we bombed Libya. Hell, if it were up to the US, we wouldn't of been involved in the first place. But the real reason for us having to do it, was that there was a large influx of refugees coming from your model nation, and the Euros had to do something about it. Of course, the Euros couldn't even handle this situation on their own, thus is why we were dragged in.

Metaphorically, they rob us all. They leave behind the cause of Global Warming and do all in their power to prevent mitigation options, specifically renewable energies. Their lobbyists always work hard for permanent war because energy fuels wars (tanks, planes, ships, transport) and the first profits of war go to the Big Energy Corporations. They beat us to death by making a big mess, and since they are Corporate, fictitious entities, don't have liability and we are robbed cleaning up the mess. I addressed your nonsense metaphor in real world scenarios. Try to learn from that.

I see. We bombed the **** out of them causing thousands and thousands of deaths to help them out, don't ya' know? We, once again, attacked a Nation that was no threat to the USA. There are lots of refugees fleeing Libya now, but not before we screwed up the Nation. Now we have the CIA General Hafter trying to get a leadership position, just like our machinations in Ukraine. We're the bad guys. That's a clue.

But there were a lot of refugees fleeing Lybia! That's what I'm trying to tell you! You do remember that there was already a civil war going on in your "model nation" before we even got involved! Is your hatred of the west made you so blind to facts?

There are lots of refugees fleeing Cleveland to go to Texas, so we better bomb the crap out of Ohio. Get right on that won't ya'?

Well that depends. Is there a dictator butchering protesters in Cleveland and using rape as a form of torture? If that's the case, then I think something should be done.

Ask a silly rhetorical question, and guess what you get back.

In Cleveland the cops shoot 12 year old kids. On the good side, they don't torture them first, they just shoot them. Does that count? It's not rhetorical.

We talking about the kid playing with a toy gun that looks an awful lot like a real one?

Actually no were not. If you recall, when they called it in over the police scanner, they believed he was much older.

So ha! Gotcha there!

The caller said it looked like it could be a kid with a toy gun.

Talk about the police call in. When the officer called in, he described him as a male in his 20's, now clearly wrong mind you, but the point is that to the police, he didn't look like a 12 yo child.

The shooting was at a kid's playground, for krissake. The original caller stated it might be a toy gun. I can't draw you a picture. The officer fired within 2 seconds of getting out of his cruiser.

I know you have a deep seeded hatred for the police, but if you could step back and consider it from his perspective, he sees a gun being brandished about and is in fear for his life. The guy probably has a family man! And you know what, had the parents not been stupid enough to let the kid take off the orange tip, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now.

I hit the wrong button. The MSM is biased, often incorrect and greatly influenced by the government and to a lesser degree by its advertisers. Broadcast media is the worse of the worst. If you hear it or see it on the air it has likely been filtered in more ways than you imagine.

This OP needs this link. It is the original Bernstein article about the Church Committee Senate Investigation into covert CIA corruption of USA and World media. It has only become worse with bigger CIA budgets and more extensive domestic mission creep. The CIA has huge budgets today for this work and should give an indication of how they control the slant or narrative to control public opinion. I view the USA as having been in a Corporate/Labor War for over a Century and now the Corporate/CIA (CIA chartered to help USA CORPORATIONS overseas) side has won (Citizen United). CIA infilration has become endemic to State Dept., journalists (print, and all electronic), USAID, NED, and all major financial and banking centers to include the FED, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and US Treasury, plus the ENERGY sector that overlaps. To me, they are the motivation force behind the NWO or World Corporate Government.

Carl Bernstein

"Among the executives who lent their cooperation to the Agency were Williarn Paley of the Columbia Broadcasting System, Henry Luce of Tirne Inc., Arthur Hays Sulzberger of the New York Times, Barry Bingham Sr. of the LouisviIle Courier‑Journal, and James Copley of the Copley News Service. Other organizations which cooperated with the CIA include the American Broadcasting Company, the National Broadcasting Company, the Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps‑Howard, Newsweek magazine, the Mutual Broadcasting System, the Miami Herald and the old Saturday Evening Post and New York Herald‑Tribune."

I think a good cop is like a good teacher and worth ten, even twenty times what they're paid. On the other hand I only remember 3 truly good teachers in my entire academic life. I'm from a rural area and we have good, not trigger happy police. The Cleveland cop is and was wrong and should be prosecuted.

Now, I understand that intelligence agencies need a lot of co-operation to do their jobs; it's the nature of the beast.

This situation might give one pause to consider that the media is not being bought and sold.... the media are the buyers! They spoon feed info to agencies and the general population in accordance with their own perceptions and ideas.

The Pit Bull that once guarded the junk yard has turned on it's owner.

Grist for the thought mill.

And that's my problem with a lot of people when it comes to these situations; they choose to ignore the circumstances which the event occurred and choose to only focus on the end result. Look cops have to be the ones to answer the call, and they have to be protected because mistakes will happened. Now, if it were a scenario which lined up with what you describe: A cop, already knowing it's just a 12 year old brandishing an obvious toy gun, and he just stopped his car got out and shot the kid, then yes he should be prosecuting. But that's not what happened at all.

Yes, because we all know that adults never go to playgrounds.

My spirits have been lifted by this thread. It is obvious that
a large majority of Debate Politics are aware enough to know
that the media is suspect. I expected this poll to be 50/50 and
left vs. right and it is not the least partisan. To me that indicates
there is some snap left in the populace. It is also indicative of
how extreme MSM has wandered off the path of journalistic
integrity. "Hope springs eternal."

I think cnn is fair down the middle ...msnbc is more liberal but will talk negative about Obama when due.. and are definitely more educated....fox .....I don't even want to say

the kid did not even have the gun in his hand when the cop pulled up..i am sorry but I will not kill anyone unless I see a gun starting to point at me in there hand and dammit I will be behind the police car with cover..my son is about to become a sheriff.. he will know how to shoot and will not be a scared little b--ch.. there is no room for scared police in our country you will get killed if you make one wrong move. and the bad thing about it you wont even know you did it...fear is very deadly...by the way did you hear about the cop getting ready tro be fired from his other job...
