To answer your question: No, America is not the greatest nation on Earth. I don't believe there is such a thing, 'cause even when people get nostalgic of the 1950's, they're remembering it from the perspective of the white man, like my grandfather who ruled his house without question. Women, children and minorities were objects to be molded and manipulated by men like my grandfather. But even since that time, even with the social progress that has been made, women still are not being paid at an equal level that men are, minorities are still being targeted and abused more than whites and our laws have gotten so draconian in response to terrorist attacks that American's rights are hollow caricatures and it is getting even worse. What saddens me the most is that things could be so much better for all of us if enough people at the top got behind the effort to really change the way America is ran...what is especially saddening is that it isn't going to happen. The powers of influence in Washington far exceed empathy for average everyday Small Town USA folks such as myself.

- Other nations need us more than we need them.
- We utterly dominate popular culture and the arts - Hollywood baby. ALL the movies that seen by a broad audience are American. We invented rock and roll, the blues, rap, hip hop, and all the modern media. We invented television, and pretty much everything that goes on it.

we dont quit.....we persevere through good and bad times

we are a bunch of mutts......with so many cultures, races, ethnicities, and peoples that have been combined into one major kick ass compilation

yes....we have issues.....any country with 330 million people will

but dont screw with us.....our bite is much worse than our bark

I think that America is the greatest country in the world...whatever happens to you..the rest of the Western world follows...It has perverted us..it has tainted us...........With racism..kicking people when they are down..not wanting to share wealth...with less fortunate people....

Yes, we are militarily the strongest and have wealth, but that doesn't mean we're the greatest country it just means we're strong and have money.

Also self sufficiency is supported in socialism, not capitalism. You got it backwards. Capitalism allows the wealthy who have never worked a day in their life to continue to do so. Socialism would ensure everyone must contribute equally, and gets paid based on skill level.

What you said is pure propaganda and very false.

I'm human and I don't mind sharing. Most people shouldn't. Jesus was a socialist.

Furthermore socialism does not mean sharing your things. It would actually give the average citizen more things to share, and make it so those that are unscrupulously wealthy actually had to work.
